your height sensing prop valve linkage is inverted. the big swing arm should point to the passenger side, not down. it typically happens when a truck goes up on a lift and then the operator doesn't make sure it goes back where it should when brought back down to the ground.

front axle is always a dana 30. rear is likely a dana 35, but could also be an AMC-20. sharing a pic of the diff cover will answer that easy enough.

yup, after a couple seconds of running, the power then only goes through the resistor and if it's bad or disconnected, the engine stops. it's a great line to tap into for a anti-theft switch. instead of looking for an obvious switch when nothing happens (such is the case with most anti-theft devices), the thief might just assume that the truck is just an old piece of crap because it starts but stutters and stops.

the bumpers can be straightened fairly easily by a body shop. that rear chrome is super hard to find and is worth fixing.
