how is that new one not hanging on your wall somewhere?!
  3. photos of what all you've done? including a photo of the driveshaft angles?
  4. how much lift? you should add some specs to your signature. have someone saw the wheel back and forth while you poke your head underneath. then have them grab the top of the cab and rock the truck as much as they can. have you inspected your ball joints? you can set the toe in your driveway. but if there's a sloppy part that won't let the measurement stick, then it's kinda a moot point. gotta find the bad parts asap.
  5. they are hex head screws that take (I think) a 9/32 socket.
  6. what axle did you end up using?
  7. quality of the images is key here.
  8. if he's not, I'll pick him up and we'll meet y'all there
  9. link to this one?
  10. I bought my 88 when it was about 10 years old and the plastic seats had started to crack and try to pinch my legs. so I bought a pair of cheap "wool" seat covers and they were just the most comfortable thing! but, they were cheap and wore out so I bought another pair and put them on top of the old. even better! but then they wore out too and I wised up and swapped out the seats. I imagine the good ones were pretty dang nice

bummer that your build printout was kinda small. a lot of info was lost before Chrysler started putting them into the computers and the list is more or less luck of the draw. but you still might have your original paper copy! typically it's found inside the drivers door, behind the rear carpet panel, wedged under the bench seat, or even up inside the pass side of the dash. no matter what though, you now know her birthday.
  12. I need one of these in my life
  13. dang, I think I've seen maybe 2 in my life. they were all over in your neck of the woods!
  14. what about Vancouver island? I know it's not US territory (yet), but the terrain is super cool!

    I hate theives

    thieves suck
  16. lithium grease sprayed through a straw is what you want to get in there while the door is open.
  17. you haven't lived until you stand there, staring into the whiteout, pondering where on earth you're going to put it all and then you start contemplating making a flame thrower... but then you realize the amount of toastiness you'd need and how much money that would take and you just go back to shoveling the heavy white irritant up onto the tall mounds you've already made next to the driveway.
  18. because they think they can, so why not try? but it's not worth 17 grand until it sells for 17 grand. otherwise my truck is worth a cool million. because I say so. an all original, low mileage, great condition truck is in fact quite rare and can demand substantial cash. this is... not quite one of those. very nice, but has some problems (that honestly could have been solved fairly easily), but it may fool a MJ non-expert.
  19. does said island have a gas station? or at least a bridge to it?
  20. the easy layer is complete
  21. now is the time to lube up that latch mechanism. I'd do both doors.
  22. as long as it doesn't get thrown out. that's all I worry about.

    Oh no

that's a hell of a lot of money for a truck that probably needs everything replaced.
