    junkyard scores

stopped by a couple junkyards on my way to pick up that bed and scored a WJ t-case skid and hooks, plus ZJ 1" OME coils, rear ZJ Blistein shocks (likely an XJ guy snagged the fronts), a JKS adj trackbar, gask tank skid, and fancy swaybar links. I also grabbed the WJ gastank skid before realizing that they ALL came with it (that first yard only had the one fully loaded WJ so I kinda made an assumption it was part of the skidplate group). lol. maybe I can still sell it to a northerner with a rusty one.
  2. that's a lot of IFs. but I'm used to making plans with lots of IFs. we shall see. being so close to the south, he honestly might be better off doing a road trip to a junkyard.
  3. finding people in need was never the problem. getting the beds to them is the issue. that's a TON of driving for the money I can make off a single bed. so far I've sold 2 and both were on a trip north that was happening anyway. but I have hopes that the big uhaul trailer can fit 4 and that might make a dedicated trip worthwhile.
  4. I should probably change the title of the thread. these pics are the best I can do until I get some different lighting outside. it's a dark shape with very bright surroundings. this corner edge seems to be the worst spot. very straight and clean bed. I might hang on to this one.
  5. reaching out might bring them back
  6. did you check the members map? just because they don't notice the zoned subforums doesn't mean they aren't here.
  7. I was searching for a quality manual chainsaw and the ad popped up.
  8. don't know if that's better or worse. If I'm parting ways with my beloved, I kinda want her to be far, far away. on the other hand, it's not Michigan.
  9. If you're worried about MPGs, don't daily a lifted brick on 33s. the 4.10s are... tolerable. Nothing more exciting than that. I only ran them because my budget didn't allow for a regear. I still want a bit more oomph to get going from a start.
  10. I have 4.10s for my 33s and wish I had 4.56. But it was the deepest factory gears for the Ford axles so I went with it.
  11. I just wrapped up watching the 3rd part of a series done on the aftermath of the attacks with regard to the ships. those workers do not get enough credit for their efforts. truly insane the amount of work it took to get Pearl up and running again this is part 1:
  12. vodka, but neither are my jam. sidebyside or one person ATV? you guys are keeping track of the questions?

  16. something that might help out is that if someone with a loose rollbar could lay it down on some wrapping paper, trace the entire thing out, then fold it up and mail it to you.
  17. ya never know, he might love the challenge but there's a waiting list...
  18. that seat looks better than new!
  19. the XJ radio in my liberty has a AUX cable plugged into the AM input. just sayin' *cough* Minuit *cough*
  20. I'm no expert on ancient radios, so my only thought is: can you get it to stay on a single frequency? can that frequency be one that is used by a bluetooth adapter device? my only concern would be getting it to talk to my phone in some manner. having said that, I can totally understand the desire to get it working properly. I'm just not of any help in the matter.
  21. whether you use the redline or the syn 10w30 you'll be good to go.
  22. bringing back a lot of memories at this end of the internet... I've done that in several houses now. I've started to really hate basements.
