brandon makes new underbed mounts for the front downpipes (check the vendors section). not sure if he makes the wheelwell ones too.

suddenly getting a weird bad vibration in reverse. upon closer inspection the front shaft moves up when shifted into reverse waaaay more than it moves down when shifted into drive. I think one of my front diff mounts has died, but I'll do a more thorough look-see when I finally get around to swapping out the wheelbearings and shafts. I think I gotta get mom's car in working order first though (the bushigns I ordered have finally arrived). and that won't happen until after I get the wood stove installed. I'll get to my baby... eventually.

today I found myself 3 vehicles behind an accident where the road curved to the left and the kid... um, didn't. he drifted off the pavement, nailed a mailbox and a sign and then cartwheeled over a driveway. I pulled over and jimmied open the passenger door so the kid could get out, checked him for pain or dilated pupils, and simply calmed him down while we waited for the cops. could have been a LOT worse since there are lots of trees and deeper ditches along 81, just not that that particular spot. was likely the highlight of the week for that sweet ol' lady that shuffled out of her house to check if everyone was ok.

my favorite misspelling is still the junkyard fender that had "89 Commanche" right under the emblem. I grabbed the emblem but really should have snagged that whole fender just for laughs.

all I've found is photos but it appears that he's into drag racing. I so wonder how much power he'd make versus a single giant turbo and how long that block will last.
