  1. neat! I see he's selling a TON of different faces. I wonder if he makes them or just has a giant stash from back in the day.
  2. so if anyone was wondering what to get me for my birthday...
  3. absolutely. the truck that is. I gave the van away to a friend. I miss that van.
  4. is there a company that's been passed around more than Jeep?
  5. because I prefer reliability and safety when towing, and a full-custom tiny truck is not going to cut it hauling 5000 pounds to Moab and back. 10k if I've got a buddy's rig on the rear dragger. bigger is better.
  6. almost forgot about my idea of using a 4-door flatbed tow truck as my wheeler hauler.
  7. picturetrail is packing up shop and closing in feb
  8. hopefully @kryptronic can save all the picturetrail pics. else I've got a ton of work ahead of me.
  9. well, since Don passed away a while ago now, I don't think he can answer you.
  10. adding more steel cures a lot of woes
  11. done. sorry to say but you also don't have a hybrid electric or rack and pinion steering or a powder coated front bumper.
  12. that's one of the reused codes. it means 3.55 for our trucks. I'll go through and edit the rest to weed out the common errors. hold on a sec...
  13. ouch. that's a lot of the cancer. topper looks nice though!
  14. any of the old stuff. but many have gone before you on this one, so who knows what's left.

    I'm a Dad again!

  16. our time will come. only so much NOS stuff lying around.
  17. I believe the Pub is here for just such a thing but you can't blame us for wanting more of a readable story to go with the trucks.

    wood stoves

today's lesson is write down all the steps so my half-awake brain can't forget to open the flue first. there were some coals left from yesterday and the fire flared into life a bit sooner than I actually wanted and the flue escaped my brain for a couple minutes while I tried to figure out why it was smoking so bad.
  19. nice! do you have a build thread started?
  20. I have a corded version. a very handy item in the 'ol toolbox. have you added it to the giant tool thread in the Pub?
  21. while we're on the subject, a full gauge cluster is an easy swap. (but chances are slim finding one with the built-in gear indicator so check the link in my sig for a writeup on modding one in)
  22. don't pull the cluster out very far until you get the speedo clip unhooked
  23. 4.10s on stock tires is a blast! the factory ratio for a 2.5L/auto was 4.56. I'm sure that particular truck will cruise the freeway just fine.
  24. neat! on a completely unrelated note, someone give me $511.87... for some, um, toilet paper. that I want to donate... to the... orphanage. nah, that set is way too nice for anything I own.
