  1. the Big Ton was another name for the Metric Ton package which had heavy duty springs, shocks, and rear axle to bring the hauling weight up to 2000 lbs. impressive for a little truck. both 2wd and 4wd were available in all years of MJ, but the 7ft bed was the only size available in 1986. after that both 6' and 7' were options.
  2. woohoo!
  3. and lookin' good too did the old car companies not think their rides would ever get past 100k?
  4. there should be three little dots in the upper right corner of your first post that bring own a menu that should include "edit". failing that, I can change it for you.
  5. random dealers? or dealers in my area?
  6. what does "help" entail?
  7. not bad at all. unlimited mileage?
  8. what fun! out of curiosity, what'd the f250 rental end up costing?
  9. a very early 88! if it's not the first Eliminator, it'd be dang close. anyone find one that's older?
  10. oh yeah, that looks good! whatcha doing for a switch for the lights?
  11. neat! I see he's selling a TON of different faces. I wonder if he makes them or just has a giant stash from back in the day.
  12. so if anyone was wondering what to get me for my birthday...
  13. absolutely. the truck that is. I gave the van away to a friend. I miss that van.
  14. is there a company that's been passed around more than Jeep?
  15. because I prefer reliability and safety when towing, and a full-custom tiny truck is not going to cut it hauling 5000 pounds to Moab and back. 10k if I've got a buddy's rig on the rear dragger. bigger is better.
  16. almost forgot about my idea of using a 4-door flatbed tow truck as my wheeler hauler.
  17. picturetrail is packing up shop and closing in feb
  18. hopefully @kryptronic can save all the picturetrail pics. else I've got a ton of work ahead of me.
  19. well, since Don passed away a while ago now, I don't think he can answer you.
  20. adding more steel cures a lot of woes
  21. done. sorry to say but you also don't have a hybrid electric or rack and pinion steering or a powder coated front bumper.
  22. that's one of the reused codes. it means 3.55 for our trucks. I'll go through and edit the rest to weed out the common errors. hold on a sec...
  23. ouch. that's a lot of the cancer. topper looks nice though!
