I absolutely love that gen GC (and its sister Durango). you're going to enjoy it

if anyone was curious, it's the pioneer bed that tried to kill me. not sure if that adds value or drops value.

so for a quick update, my hand looks more like a balloon than it did yesterday, my knee doesn't hurt unless I move (but holy cow does it hurt if I do the wrong thing like pivot while standing or try to roll over in bed), and I'm guessing I pulled muscle on my rib cage rather than cracked anything, but that's based on speculation due to what motions elicit pain. we shall see what tomorrow brings. I have a couple old pain pills left over from my gall bladder surgery so hopefully one of those will help me sleep. If I'm worse tomorrow, I'll go to an urgent care. if I see no improvement by monday I'll also go to an urgent care. my brother in law stopped and helped get all the beds off the trailer, so tomorrow morning I gotta figure out how to return that.

in the back of my head I always knew that dealing with giant hunks of steel would bite me in the butt someday... well today was that day. my brain is still exhausted from the last 2 days of driving and pulling parts plus I was in a bit of a hurry to get the trailer unloaded (so I could return it on time) and I slipped on the ramp and had a bed fall on me. fortunately my father was helping at the time and so the full weight of the bed didn't crush me, but I messed up my knee and possibly cracked a rib. ow. I've had better days, but this could have easily been worse so I figure I'll call it a "win" and a lesson learned. If my knee or rib turns rainbow colors, I'll share a pic. pain is high, but so far swelling has been minimal. I've got more swelling in my hand where that tiny ant bit me yesterday.

and this is what I'm unloading this morning. numbers 21-24. finally found a couple longbeds.

You know that's on the list of I ever roll it. even if just for a weekend before I start swapping parts into another KJ body.

You need to know what gearing you have now. Rules of thumb: 2.5+4spd=3.55 2.5+5spd=4.10 2.5+Aw4=4.56

Ebay usually has those sorts of things. Car-part probably won't list the tiny things, but you can search for larger things like engines and then call to see if the xj/mj is still around. Lots of different years might swap so be sure to know what all your options are.

have you checked the TPS with a multimeter yet? wouldn't be the first time I heard about a TPS dying early. I don't have the specs, but I'm sure some corner of the internet has them.

impressive! can you snap a new photo from head-on so the rim is well lit and appears as a circle in the photo?

never liked them way back when I had one. having a touch screen in a compact, super tough phone is going to be hard to find. but we'll see. that's another problem for another day. right now I gotta get my alabama trip planned out.

finally got some answers. the guy at the store was familiar with my phone and says while the data is 4g, the calls were always on 3g. time to regroup and find a new strategy...

if you unplug the box, the light will go off. it's a clearish little box with a bunch of gears in it under the dash on the drivers side.

how could we not want that?
