  1. that's going to freak out some people that saw it with the last wrap and now are thinking there's a second one running around.
  2. looks great in white too. did you pull the wrap to make a change? or is unwrapping a car something that needs to be done regularly for some other reason?
  3. you're going to get spoiled with that deicer

    Well, damn....

because they don't do crap in an actual double blind study.

    Well, damn....

that's 99.7% are not dying. pleeease stop sharing that stat as if 99.7% of all people will be perfectly fine in a week. death is but one of the ways this illness will mess you up. it's looking like 10-20% that got it are now under the long covid umbrella. I'm not dead. but my life was stolen 20 years now after a spat with mono that caused a similar hiccup in my immune system. there are hundreds of thousands of people in this country staring at that path. it suuuucks. stole my brain and stole my life. do not skip over those people as if they are going to be "fine". I imagine they would disagree. agreed. we'd be in a whole different world if the last administration had handled it differently. and the current administration is trying to catch up and failing miserably. but I do feel a bit bad for them. the misinformation is rampant and hard to reverse.

you can absolutely disagree but the law is the law. those laws give you your rights. and those laws give the government their rights. the balance is constantly fluctuating, but there's a LOT of precedence for this one. but we shall see. as always, we gotta wait for the courts to decide.

as americans, who are constantly bombard with "we're free so you can't tell us what to do" motto, it can be hard to accept that government has the right to dictate safety, especially in the workplace. hell, there's plenty of precedent for mandating vaccines to the general populace, regardless of work status. but I'm curious as to how the Court will see the current proposal as written.

    Well, damn....

there's simply no way to know how long the antibodies last in the human body until we try and test and measure and see. and this is what's happening. it sucks, but so do viruses. biology is complicated and viruses are complicated and winning the war is complicated. but there are scientists working on better treatments so it's not like we're stuck forever with only what we have now.

    Well, damn....

hopefully it stays mild so you can enjoy your time off and do all you can to not spread it to anyone else.
  10. they started production on July 1st 1985. I've edited out the common reused codes for ya.
  11. looks like a factory rear window.

  15. anyone got any new ideas or contacts at Jeep to track down any new data, or at least to confirm any of the numbers we've got already? ------------------------------------- cannot find where these numbers are originally from. listed by calendar year: 1985: 29,245 1986: 33,386 1987: 43,070 1988: 43,718 1989: 25,311 1990: 9,576 1991: 5,188 1992: 952 total: 190,446 --------------------------------------- these numbers I believe are from the Standard Catalog of American Light Duty Trucks? by model year: 1986: 45,219 1987: 28,417 1988: 46,389 1989: 28,891 1990: 10,804 (38.7% 4x4's) 1991: 7,009 (36.7% 4x4's) 1992: 2,970 (41.9% 4x4's) total: 169,699 ------------------------------------- (because why should those totals match and make our lives easier. ) and I have a copy of 1993's "Standard Catalog of 4x4s" which weirdly enough lists calendar year totals (skipping 1985 production entirely for some reason so the total is way off) but then lists 1992 as the model year and has the number 3142. I ordered a copy of the Standard Catalog of Jeeps to see what sort of craziness is inside it.
  16. far as I know the center section is the same across all 8.8s. axle shaft spline count shouldn't affect the ring/pinion at all.

  18. yeah, I'm deeply envious of guys just now coming into the hobby and the insane amount of information you've got at your finger tips. back in the late 90s the internet just wasn't what it is now.
