apparently it's super duper common. the v8 absolutely yanks up with a vengeance each time you gas it. and I can say that it's also a pain in the hands to accomplish the swap.

still freaks me out a bit that I can now accelerate like a normal car. well, a "normal car" if that normal car had a mufflerless diesel.

the tab inside one of my taillight sockets was crushed flat and not contacting the bulb which caused weird issues. also do make sure that you check each socket for continuity in case there's a break inside.

sounds like a vacuum leak. most all MJs come with wires that go nowhere. unless you had a Laredo with the works.

"complete mess" means different things to different people. what specific issues does it have? does the engine currently run? what state is the truck in?

do make sure you find and fix all the water leaks that led to those floors. for they can be numerous

yes. forgot it had an X. Xylene. the X makes it sound cool. comes in a metal can for a reason.

Zylene will absolutely remove the paint, but be sure to try in an inconspicuous locations first. and don't let it linger.

the 4.0 has a CCV system. the 2.5L has a PCV system. basically the CCV is an open line with no little valve in it like the PCV. can't imagine how either one would make the oil smell like gas though. how well does she idle? rev? does the exhaust smell like gas? how are your MPGs lookin'?

yup, facebook is by far the easiest to set up for chatting (everyone creates a fake account and joins the same private group), but it has drawbacks
