  1. Dak lights won't work. :( http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopi ... ght=dakota
  2. What kind of wheeling do you do? What size tires are you looking to get?
  3. The biggest reason mine are where they are is because they also function as my spring perch. Sorta. Not the best way to do it, but it's worked fine thus far.
  4. This came out AFTER I did mine... Guess I should have looked into a copyright huh??? Amazing how simular they look!!! CW I don't think a patent would have stopped them. Just think about how many TJ tire carrier bumpers there are out there.
  5. Keep in mind that I will be out of town from July 28th til August 12th.
  6. Since I'm going to be gone until August 13th and won't be able to continue my research into trying to find a cap place that allows me to get quality caps in various colors until I get back, I'm starting a poll to see if there's enough interest in a Comanche Club ball cap where they are all a nice neutral color like tan/khaki. This is not anything official, just a poll. If you've already stated it's cool with you, please post again in the poll anyway. To refresh everyones memory, the caps are made in the USA and essentially it'd look like this: A low profile ball cap with a version of this stitched on the front: And I'm thinking of "ComancheClub.com" stitched in an arc across the back. We'd be going with the strap on the left.
  7. (I started new posts to separate the hats from the magnets) The new batch of magnets are in! And initial tests are proving that this new supplier makes them water proof! I also had some business cards made up. Same logo as the magnets but in black-n-white and they are printed with some sort of raised-up ink which gives it a textured feel. Didn't ask for it, they just came that way. :dunno: These are totally free to whoever wants some. Just PM me an address and I'll send you a few of each for use as handouts to MJ owners you meet (or to hold your kids artwork to the fridge or whatever). Anyone that has received stickers from me in the past just needs to let me know.

    Monster Manche'

Give him a magnet too. :D
  9. Both of my external slaves had a tiny screw in them that takes an allen wrench. By partially unscrewing the screw you can bleed out the air.
  10. It's fairly straight forward, although I had to do some alterations to make it work with my 9" and the Bronco pads. I think you'll need to buy a new socket-head grade-8 bolt to hold the leaf springs and you need to make sure that the bolt protrudes down past the shock plate and into the spring pad. That bolt is what holds your leafs on the mount. Then just cut away the excess material on the shock mount and install it between the leafs and axle. I fabed my own U-bolt plate, but I imagine you could reuse the stock one. Don't know for sure though.
  11. The brake lights had the dual filament bulbs, yes?
  12. I've had it happen with water bottles, but only the factory-filled ones that are slightly under pressure.
  13. I joined the 2 hoses together using a 1/4"-to-5/16" adapter compression fitting from the hardware store. This is not the best way and there is always the chance that the pressure inside can pop it off if you don't tighten it enough,. but I've had it like this for several years now and haven't had a lick of trouble.
  14. I've not heard of this one. :hmm: Is it an upgrade?
  15. I've experienced it with pop and water before. An easy way to tell when it's about to happen, is when you find a couple frozen, but not all of them, the remaining ones should do the instant freeze thing when you pop the top. :brows:
  16. My Comanche will eventually have a Peterbilt emblem too (but for a slightly different reason). :D
  17. An XJ shackle would drop it 1/2" and the shorter shackle would limit wheel travel somewhat.
  18. I see the XJ has a cargo light. :brows:
  19. It ran away from home and is on its way to Moab?
  20. Haven't asked about them yet. The hats were proving to be the sticky wicket so I've been focusing on them..
  21. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep-87- ... otohosting
  22. I just sent an email to the hat supplier. Maybe a more direct approach will produce some leeway in their apparent rules. :dunno: I'm majorly bummed. It was such a nice cap. :(
  23. D'oh! I fixed it
  24. Aluminum! Ok, so that's not the best solution. But it works for me. :D
  25. Well, I just found out they all have to be the same color. So unless everyone can agree on something (I'm thinking tan/khaki), the hunt continues. :(
