I went with the components and mounted the tweeters right above them. I had to cut a hole in the steel, but it worked out great. the splitter box is tucked up to the left of the drivers feet.

One more vote fpr the Infinity Kappas. :thumbsup: Very nice sound from my 5.25 components with separate tweets fed with 75 watts rms. Speakers buried behind your butt are overrated in my opinion and I eventually dumped the added 6x9s (in little boxes) for the single 8" woofer (getting 150 rms). But if you aren't adding in external amps, even the cheap Walmart no-names are waaaaay better than 20 year old factory speakers. :D

Actually, the pedestal of the XJ power seat is quite massive and you'll need it to retain the power option. It doesn't fit well on the MJ floor. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's not as easy as the manual seats where it's no biggie to reuse the MJ floor pedestal.

I'd have one of those clear display cases like for models and then hook up some LED christmas lights inside so they glowed. :D

Best I can do is that I know who he was. I was technically alive at that time, but reeeally young. So unless he did a cameo on Sesame Street, i never saw him back in the day. Still a bummer. :(

No ratio chart is ever complete. :shake: The easier (and cleaner way) to determine the ratio is to put the trans or t-case in neutral, jack up one rear tire and rotate the tire around twice and count how many times the driveshaft turns (if it has a posi rear, then jack up both and rotate them once). 3 and a half times is 3.55, 4 times is 4.10, etc.

A plastic punch works good too. No matter how long it sits, the engine will still drip oil on you. :ack: Be prepared and wear eye/ear protection. Let the silicone sit and cure before firing up the truck. Take your time and make sure you won't need the truck the following day. Plenty can go wrong that might require a trip to the always-closed-when-you-need-it-most parts store. As far as I know, all 4.0s can have the RMS replaced without removing the transmissions. 2.5Ls have a one-piece seal that requires tranny removal.

I don't remember ever seeing a photo, but then my memory sucks so that really doesn't prove anything. :doh: Other way around. XJ perches are spaced further apart than MJ perches (XJ leafs are mounted outside the frame, MJs are directly under the frame)

Back in GA from FL, and boy are my arms tired. That was a lot of work moving out an entire condo. :ack: thank goodness that the local Goodwill came and got the stuff that was being donated. Other wise I'd have been loading up the trailer twice. No make that 3 times since I did load the trailer twice with the same stuff after we discovered there was way too much tongue weight (this borrowed trailer looks almost like it should have been a double axle but they didn't install the forward most axle at the factory :dunno: ) and had to do our best to shift the heavy stuff back even more. In the end we were successful and didn't kill ourselves or anyone else on the trip back up to GA. Thanks God for small miracles. :bowdown: So the bottom line is that I now have the same slow internet as before (but it sure beats the zero internet I had in FL)

Not sure if this helps at all, but I just found a post on another forum where the guy had the opposite issue (ran fine in drive, stalled in reverse) and it turned out to be loose bolts between the trans and engine that allowed the trans to move and it was apparently binding up the torque converter when in reverse.
