  1. Than a freshly rebuilt TBI system in my 86 custom 4 banger!...Well worth the day I spent on it.
  2. first pic was the best leave it alone
  3. Nah no DIYs in my future. If I can't find made to order in blue I will just get the standard black. Thanx for the info on the site I will check it out.
  4. Charles Jackson Palm Harbor Florida Internal Hospital Security 1986 AMC PRE CHRYSLER BUY OUT MJ 2.5 Longbed
  5. I am having a complete rebuild done on my 2.5. I am planning on painting the valve cover blue and would like to get the corresponding color plug wires. Anyone have any suggestions (other then ebay) on where I can get them. Also can anyone suggest good spark plugs to use.
  6. Shoot buying vehicles that don't start is usually the best way! If the price is right. I have found that most of the time it is something minor that the owner just does not feel like messing with.
  7. I had the same problem though not as severe as yours. I merely cut out the rusted area, cut a piece of aluminum i got for free that was scrap to fit and then riveted it down over the area. A cheap and inexpensive fix and once I covered it with a custom made rubber carpet you can't tell the difference. Something to consider.
  8. Are the manche and cherokee front windshields interchangeable? I will eventually need one and I can find cherokees all day long at the local junkyards.
  9. Well I got the rear end up on jacks and discovered it is in fact the driveshaft. Have another on the way from California! I also discovered that my rear differential and axle are in fantastic condition! :clapping:
  10. Thanx for the help people!
  11. Recently purchased a 1986 2wd MJ Longbed Inline 4cyl. I have noticed at around 40 mph there is a rather serious vibration as if there were tractor tire indentations in the road and I am driving over them, though the road is smooth. I suspect and axle. Am I right and if so which one is the likely culprit or could it be something else? Thanx in advance.
