I love the fights, but I treat it like most other sports and movies and music; I try hard not to know too much about the people behind the things I like. All too frequently I end up disappointed. Funny vid though. :D

My concerns would be: -low pinion -where do I get spare parts? What's Jeep?, What's Ford?, and most importantly, what joins the two?

I try to fall back on my belief that simpler is better. We really don't get that many new posts. And it's sorta a slippery slope too. Separate forum for whole trucks? For non-MJ stuff? Someday I might try it, but not until at least halfway through august. My plate is pretty full. :(

Nope. They are different. XJ leafs are mounted outside their uniframe, MJs are directly below.

Fumes actually come out of my little hoodscoop on the freeway (and the oilly smell comes into the cab :ack: ). But mine isn't a full-on scoop, as the front is fully open and the back is partially open, so it's possible the venturi effect is in, uh, effect.

Is your t-case for sure shifting out of 4wd? How's the fluid level in it? Fluid in the axles?

There's a thread in the DIY forum about replacing the Peugeot BA-10/5. For auto there's the AW-4, for a stick, the choices are the AX-15 and the NV3500 (newer than the AX-15 and more expensive to acquire). People with the right tools have still failed at removing them in one piece. I'm not saying it's totally impossible, but many, many have cursed whoever glued those dang things down in the first place. :(
