  1. Hellcreek makes a couple full length AALs.
  2. I believe at least one member is running them (has a camper shell) and another member bought his truck with them on (but then removed them I think) What are you looking to accomplish with the aftermarket overload?
  3. too bad that's a Dakota taillight. But I guess it wouldn't be all that hard to paint trim on an MJ housing.
  4. why not less lift? :dunno: I never seem to get the general obsession with going SOA. :hmm:
  5. both ideally.

    PS3 Theme

no, we have the opposite, a PS3 based theme for the forum colors here.
  7. well alllllrighty then. that sucks. :( Back to someone stopping by with a sawsall and snagging me the entire drivers side of the truck. any volunteers? I'd love to at least preserve the paint for posterity (and an awesome wall decor).
  8. It's true that other trucks have a wider front axle than rear. they say it helps in handling. makes it look even worse looking when you swap a ford 44 and 9" under your MJ. :(
  9. when I said "roof", I meant the pillars too. They are most certainly toast. I realize I'm looking at a single grainy photo, but in my head it should be relatively easy to slice at the base of the pillars, splice in a new roof structure and new glass (and maybe add some rollbar protection into the mix) and then fix some dents and bends in the body. "Should" be pretty straightforward and won't cost all that much in money or time. Later on, when one of us wins the lotto, we can expand on it. :D
  10. I was thinking more along the lines of trying to retain as much as possible at first. replace the roof and try to repair what's there. there's a lot of custom stuff on that body. :( I think we need a ton more photos of the damage. :D
  11. yup. MJs just have a big butt. :D
  12. maybe if you put "carfax" in the title. :dunno: only a handful can help out with that. maybe they haven't check in yet.
  13. dropping the t-case lessens the rear d-shaft angle, but worsens the front d-shaft angle. It's mostly a hack way for TJ/YJ/XJs to help reduce vibes for their short rear driveshafts. MJs have a foot more wheelbase and so a foot more driveshaft and the angles aren't really a concern.

    PS3 Theme

I got that part. :rotf: but I don't own one and wasn't sure if he was talking about some sort of MJ theme for the PS3, or about the PS3 theme we have here at the CC.

    PS3 Theme

    "PS3 theme"? :hmm:
  16. with all the fancy parts like the front fenders?! SOLD! :D The CC sticker fund is totally willing to chip in.
  17. you might need to ask HellCreek how long their U-bolts are.
  18. just some clarification of terms: the full XJ leafpacks are shorter in front-to-rear length and also have less arch. the lack of arch is why XJ AALs give less lift when shoved in an MJ. HellCreek makes an MJ AAL that lifts about an inch. They also make full 3" packs.
  19. I'm really tempted, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to save the cab. cut off the roof. replace with good roof. :D Step one is: "can we save it?". step 2 is how. lord knows there are enough of us with rusted out trucks that have good roof/A/B pillars.
  20. It can be the official club truck. :D
  21. stock WJ arms aren't any longer than stock MJ arms
  22. costs double for each additional inch of lift. when you did your 2" lift, did you upgrade the shocks? the brake lines? the track bar? sway bar links? lower control arms? those all start to become necessary as you pass the 2" mark.
