  1. the common word filter "should" be turned off. :dunno: lord only knows what all went wrong with the latest update. might be that the search doesn't recognize the period. 3 letters is the shortest word you can hunt for.
  2. Fixed it for ya. You didn't get it did you? Who cares about the chics, we want pics of the trucks! :rotf:
  3. yeah, "convenient". and Drs think it's convenient that the hospital has bandaids. :D
  4. one winter I had to stab at the diverter with a screwdriver to get it moving. it was just stuck.
  5. my thought... wiring makes my head explode. :headpop:
  6. got photos? a couple guys have had success with plating the frame.
  7. checked the resistor pack yet?
  8. prep is key.
  9. just don't use a torch. and try to keep the steel as cool as possible during the process.
  10. really you broke a leaf? wow that sucks ive hulled like 2500-3000 lbs of oak wood from a huge tree be for and it was easy, my truck just looked like a low rider :ack: Brandon broken leafs are typically due to rust.
  11. cool. then yes, that sounds like it should work pretty good

    chain saws...

as I understand the easy start operation, you pull the cord to wind up a spring. don't have to pull fast at all. the spring releases and it starts the motor. the spring apparently turns the motor at 750 rpms to start it.
  13. yup. you just need to nip a bit off the steel bushing. I also trimmed a bit of the arm itself for maximum wheel travel, but that's not entirely necessary.
  14. what rim has those specs??
  15. have you confirmed the accuracy of that ordinance info? that's what they claimed here... until I proved them wrong. :D
  16. did NOT move them. just left them exactly where they sat now that I have a judge's agreement that I'm not breaking the law. :D
  17. the "guy that was complaining" was the code enforcer. he was obsessed with his misinterpreted "48 hour rule for parking" and was just following my trucks from place to place. my lawyer sent a letter to the city manager about what has transpired. we'll see what comes of that. I don't think I'd go to the extent of a big banner :rotf: , but I'm contemplating passing out fliers door-to-door to inform the residents of Riverview that they can indeed park in the street without worry that their car will be towed. I'm sure there are a lot of them that would be happy to hear the news.
  18. or Liberty rims. they need 16s just to clear the front calipers so anything from a Libby will work (though some are 17s). 5.25" is the typical backspacing on MJ/XJ/ZJ/TJ/YJ/KJ/etc rims.
  19. be extra careful with that pressure washer. there are some electronics in there that don't like getting wet (TPS, distributor, etc).
  20. do you have a link to the C-clip eliminators?
  21. fwiw, the guy promised it is fixed for good this time. :dunno:
  22. and how do you feel these days?
  23. not that I know of. course, it'd be real nice if guys would at least put their friggin' state in the title. :fs1:
  24. don't fear the C-clips. nothing wrong with them.
  25. jumping an MJ is a sure way to bend stock parts like the control arms, the front uniframe portion, or anything on the front axle, including the axle itself. You must build the truck up to handle the physics involved. There will be lots of welding involved for rollcages, frame supports, axle trusses etc. nothing on a stock MJ is built to go 60mph in the desert.
