  1. I purchased a new small tank from JC Whitney for $125.00
  2. on top of the steering column under the dash is the switch and is connected to the key with a small shaft. the key locks the steering wheel from turning. If you take the switch off the column and operate the switch by hand it will start. don't forget to slide the switch back to the run so the starter won't stay running. another way is to unplug the wire harness from the switch and use jumper wires.
  3. I plated the frame several years ago. I have a section that 2 ft of the bottom has fallen out. To Z cut the frame and replace the rear half is a lot of work with a uni-body but with patience it can be done. Michigan winters are hard on frames and floor pans. The floor pans need replacing anyway so cutting around the rear of the cab and replacing it won't be to bad. I just don't know how heavy of tubing I should use. I can make the flat bed I built fit any frame. I'm having a problem posting pic's. when I master Pic's I will post before and after along with progress.
  4. I have an 87 MJ that the frame is all rotted out from the trans to the rear.I have two MJ's and took the worst one and cut the cab off to take frame measurements. Any Ideas on what size tubing to use to replace the rear half of my MJ frame? We've driven this for 20 year and can't stand the idea of junking it.
  5. I,m going to build a new frame to set my MJ cab and fenders . want to keep the same WB. Plan to use 3 x 6 x 10 ga. tubing. Can any one tell me if I'm going in the right direction?
  6. I had the same problem with mine. All I had to do is lube the cable that runs the window up and down. Take your time and don't strip the gears. I used a good grade of spray grease. Don't forget to spray silicone into the felt window track, that will help clean out the grit it collects. good luck
