did NOT move them. just left them exactly where they sat now that I have a judge's agreement that I'm not breaking the law. :D

the "guy that was complaining" was the code enforcer. he was obsessed with his misinterpreted "48 hour rule for parking" and was just following my trucks from place to place. my lawyer sent a letter to the city manager about what has transpired. we'll see what comes of that. I don't think I'd go to the extent of a big banner :rotf: , but I'm contemplating passing out fliers door-to-door to inform the residents of Riverview that they can indeed park in the street without worry that their car will be towed. :cheers: I'm sure there are a lot of them that would be happy to hear the news.

or Liberty rims. they need 16s just to clear the front calipers so anything from a Libby will work (though some are 17s). 5.25" is the typical backspacing on MJ/XJ/ZJ/TJ/YJ/KJ/etc rims.

be extra careful with that pressure washer. there are some electronics in there that don't like getting wet (TPS, distributor, etc).

jumping an MJ is a sure way to bend stock parts like the control arms, the front uniframe portion, or anything on the front axle, including the axle itself. You must build the truck up to handle the physics involved. There will be lots of welding involved for rollcages, frame supports, axle trusses etc. nothing on a stock MJ is built to go 60mph in the desert.

no, not really. some random aftermarket crap, but it's not a valuable enough truck to justify quality restoration parts. a lot of stuff can interchange with Cherokees.

adding a washer behind the steering stops can help with the rub. if the rub is on the control arms, WJ arms can be swapped in to gain clearance.

be sure to let the silicone cure for a bit before you fire it up. :thumbsup: overnight is best.

only takes one harsh bump at speed to tear the suspension out from under your truck. people spend 10s of thousands to desert race and they don't do it for the bling factor. a structural rollbar (or better yet, a cage) is also highly recommended. cheap lifts are cheap for a reason. if you want to save some dough and still go fast, look for used parts (but not "used up" parts). and if you plan on any jumping... don't.

I thought that's what my oil passages were for. somehow I don't think there's much to be gained with a modern engine. maybe the old v8s since they were of a cruder design, but our particular engines run for 300k if you simply keep up with maintenance. :thumbsup:

if you want to jeepspeed, don't go get the cheapest lift you can find.

poor guy had to go back to the hospital today for some blood work but he's home now. :thumbsup:

stopped by today but that shop didn't have an E model in stock (got another one south of me to check out when I get a chance). also they said that they don't like the E because you can't ever spin the engine faster than 750 rpms and that can cause problems because they are sensitive to old gas and get out of tune pretty easily. :dunno:
