    4000

I was half expecting a photo of some J-4000 you might have picked up. :D
  5. that would be nice too. but my cobalt bits went through steel that my perfectly sharp lesser bits died on. spring steel is tough. :ack:
  6. yes, that should all work for ya. as you take them apart, keep an eye out for cracked leafs.
  7. the fork will not stay in place for long unless you do one of the mods to keep it there.
  8. what is it that you're trying to accomplish?
  9. not that we know of yet. MJ shackles are pretty long. and chevy drop shackles are pretty cheap already. you don't need coils and leafs for such a small lift. pucks and shackles will do the same lift and require less work and less money.
  10. used are even cheaper. :D

    2.5+AX15

I believe you don't need the whole AX-15 from the dakota, just the bellhousing and the guts.
  12. sorry. didn't see a mention of 4.10 gears. :dunno:
  13. I wouldn't go bigger than 31s for a 4banger running stock gears. you will notice the power loss. and yes, you can use your stock rims with those, unless you have the rare 15x6 steel rims. a photo showing the rims would help us determine which they are. with a 3" lift you can go with aftermarket rims that'll stick the tires out a bit. I'd go with 15x8s with 4.5" of backspacing.
  14. typical price for regearing an axle is 400-600 bucks. Get that $350 TJ axle. The low-vs-high argument is just splitting hairs. plenty of TJ owners out there rockin' their stock axles. plus it'll have the bigger U-joints.
  15. x2. I don't see ubolts in that aal kit.
  16. these guys are in FL and have one from a TJ advertised for 350. 94k miles, but doesn't say how complete it is. http://www.americanautoandtrucksalvage.com/
  17. but they don't look for every single thing that might possibly interchange, so you need to run multiple searches to hit each era of each Jeep.
  18. paranoia. or as they might say, good prudence.

  20. my cobalt bits are phenomenal. went through spring steel like it was wood.
  21. happy new year! where's my jan mjotm?!
  22. if the switch isn't putting out any power, then it's a prime candidate for the problem.
  23.
  24. working on finding someone local that can do that for us. more than anything, I want someone watching over my shoulder, showing me how to navigate the insane menus and weird upload screens (and making sure I don't zap the entire shibang.) I'd like to save all our data and then install the forums from scratch using the most recent version. :D and this site will never have a flipoff smiley. too easy to use and can easily make a bad situation worse. can't stop guys from importing it, but I'll never have it on our menu.
  25. got mine too :waving:
