  1. I did that when we lived up there, and once we moved to VA (and the Stillerz were on TV) I would mute the sound and catch the audio on streaming via the WDVE website  That worked until Comcast bought them out, no live audio since  Yoi....and double Yoi!!!! Nothing like listening to a little Bill Hillgrove, Tunch Ilkin, and some Myron on a Sunday afternoon. Ya know, 'ol Myron would start the broadcast with a fifth of JD in front of him....by the second half, he was into the second half of the bottle, and it just made him better ;) Jeff
  2. there's a column shift 2WD MJ down at the local junkyard right now (but it's older than 91, thinking it's an 88 or 89 IIRC). Not sure if it's a full gauge cluster or not, but if it is and anyone wants it, lemme know and I'll pull it this weekend. I'm heading there to pull some parts off it anyway.... Jeff
  3. R.I.P. Myron Cope, 79  For those that aren't familiar with him, he was one of the most "unique" sports announcers that ever lived. Jeff
  4. sorry to hijack, but I'm in the planning stages of swapping my 2.5 out for a 4.0... Car Ramrod, I notice that your 86 doesn't/didn't have a C101 connector in the wiring harness. How did you swap the 4.0 harness into yours and get it working? I can swap all the hard parts no problem, but the only thing holding me up from going forward on this is the harness. I'm not sure I have the skill to get it all hooked up  Thanks, Jeff

sportages went off the market for '03-'04 model years, then were reintroduced in '05...lotsa stuff changed on them during the redesign. When I demolished our Spectra back around thanksgiving, I went car searching in hopes of finding an '02 5 speed 4WD, with no luck whatsoever here in my area. Ended up buying an '01 TJ, but it wasn't my first choice... Jeff
  6. 'Bout time ya realized that Jeff-man. Stroker time? Standby for a PM in the next couple days or so Don.....I need to pick your brain  Jeff
  7. well, see what ya got first. I'm running a 2.5 also, but am ruminating about either a 4.0 or a 340 swap in the not-to-distant future. Ye olde 4 popper just isn't cutting it with the 33Xx12.5's.....
  8. I also have a 21 spline 242 in the same parts pile....it's a short input as well
  9. never heard of a custom seal (but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist...) you sure your AX5 has the recessed output? I played h*ll with mine when I converted it because I bought a used AX5 that had it without knowing, and tried to mate a short input 231 to it (leaked like a seive). Found out the tranny came from a YJ, not an XJ/MJ. Swapped it out with an XJ tranny, still the one that's in there, and all's been good since. I've got another AX5 in the parts pile I pulled from an MJ, and it's a shallow output as well. FWIW, I searched high and low, and could NOT find a 231 21 spline with a long output. Jeff
  10. Glad to hear.... I had the same problem on my 87, and chased it for months trying to figure it out. Jeff
  11. disconnect the O2 sensor and see if the problems go away. If yes, replace the sensor. Jeff
  12. simply gorgeous.... I have total and complete admiration for anyone who can do quality bodywork ( I simply flat-out suck at it  ) I had those same YJ alloys on my MJ with 31's...loved 'em except they were a PITA to get mounted on the studs and get the lugnuts started ;) Spot check the torque on them every once in awhile, I had a random one or two loosen up on me. Jeff
  13. just a guess, but the XJ that came out of might have had that "sentry" panel in the dash, and that might be a sensor of sorts for rear axle fluid level (?????) Is it just attached to the axle, or does the wiring actually go into the diff? Jeff
  14. sway bar links too....and if you don't get enough droop that way, use a bottle jack on top of the axle to push it down furthur and hold it in place while you slip the spring out/in. I've got a pic somewhere....lemme see if I can find it so you can see what I'm talking about. Jeff edit: Image Not Found
  15. X1000 I don't sell alot of stuff. But when/if I do, the onus is on me as the seller. I ship the part(s), and once the buyer receives them and is satsified with them, the money exchanges. If not, the buyer can send the stuff back, no harm done..... Call me old school too, but that's how I do business. Jeff
  16. that is gorgeous..... Jeff
  17. Not sure if you saw this post, but Jerry just pulled his decaling off (same as yours). I think his looks alot better without (JMHO ;) ) end of page 2: http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7937 Jeff
  18. engine bucking/missing under load is almost a dead sign of ignition problems....almost..... ;) Jeff
  19. If you go the JC route, find something else you need there for another $25 (spend more than $75 total) and put in the discount code "SAVENOW" on checkout and get free shipping.... that's what I did ordering those RC shocks I just got. Was $12 shy of 75, so I added a set of towhooks for the TJ :D I'd imagine shipping would be a few pennies, due to oversize, on those AAL's.. Jeff
  20. I've yet to see a MT in the 'yards down here....but I'll keep an eye out for ya. Plenty of Dakota packs, tho, if you want to mix-n-match (?)
  21. Talk to Jerry....he just did an AAL plus chevy drop shackles on his and got around 3" or so (IIRC)....and that was on 2WD packs. Jeff
  22. Now there's a name I haven't heard mentioned since the early NAXJA days..... ;) yes, yes, pics and info please........ Jeff
  23. Sweet. Is the MJ really that good or is the Dodge a stone? :chillin: sounds as if the Dodge's rearend broke loose....but that is one killer MJ.
  24. BPE's are en route, so when they get here will determine wrench time. Wife is working Saturday, which leaves me free :D Sunday is supposed to be crappy/rain, FYI.....
