  1. Working great now. Thanks Pete and Qui Gon.
  2. What model stump grinder you gonna haul CW?
  3. Agree 100% on synthetics for the diff after gear break-in and have been running syn Mobil-1 for years in all my vehicles. As for diff heat buildup, I'm a firm believer of adding a quality finned cast aluminum cover. Besides adding about 25% more oil capacity and having a convenient drain plug, they do a super job of dissipating heat. Amazing how hot they get...........
  4. LOL, you almost make it sound good Joe. :D I remember when I got out of the USN in Norfolk, I put an anchor on my shoulder and started walking inland. When I got to Richmond, someone asked what was I carrying, and I immediately decided to live there. :D Didn't last too long though 'cause I missed it, went back in the USN, then spent many great years working as a USN civilian all over. Best tour of course was Subic as you know well. :D Ah well, still have the "ocean" in the back yard - just doesn't have any salt. Anyhow, that's a fine looking HO Eliminator you have Joe; you've done a super job with it. Not too many 4WD MJ E-models left. Back on topic: Alex, voted for the "'91-'92 Style ELIMINATOR "shadowed" on the doors" option, keep it black, but add chrome door handles and mirrors. Would look great w. the wheels and roll bar you have IMNSHO.
  5. Can't tell me the the hot Vallejo sun beatin' down on that pretty black paint is good shipmate. Luckily I have a fairly large 2-car garage with a well-equipped doghouse above to escape into. It was the first thing I built when I bought this place . Of course the Commander's car is in there too, but I have the bigger side. :D It'll be nice when the two daughters finally leave for good, then I'll have some more room for another rig. One will be commissioned next fall (Army nurse); the other has three more years on her USAF scholarship. I spent a lot of time of your way with NAVELEX Vallejo, but didn't care for it - too many weird folks out there for my taste. I fit in better here in Redneck land. Cheaper here too.
  6. Joe; Get out there and clean that garage out! She's too pretty to sit out in the weather.
  7. It is a good deal. And it'll fit a lot more than 91/92 4.0's.
  8. Nope. You have a Nippondenso alternator, not a Renix Delco. Different animal, different brackets, etc.

    Home decor?

Yeah, I have an antique cat too.
  10. No worries mate. None of the cheap bastids on CC will bid for it. :D The strokers guys might though. If I didn't already have one, I'd be all over it. Good luck!
  11. These are normally $500 IF you can find them. Good deal from the famous Archer Bros Racing. Clicky HERE

    Home decor?

So the antique dealer is swiping them and re-selling? What else does he have? :D
  13. I got my header from Kevin's back in 99 when he and Kolak (Nick Ianuzzi) were partnered. They were a lot cheaper then. :D Looks like he doesn't sell them anymore either............
  14. Yep, that's the TeraFlex track bar, only one I know of that has an adjustable sleeve so you don't have to remove one end of it to adjust it. Good for 2" - 4" lifts, same one I have. :D
  15. Yeah, things are already getting weird. Took wifeys 06 Malibu Maxx SS to our local Chevy dealer for some warranty work today, and they had three NEW 08 Dodge Charger R/T Hemis sitting on their lot. They picked them up from a Dodge dealership that went belly-up. Took one for a test drive while I was waiting, dayem, very nice, cheap too. But Mama don't like it....... Would make a hell of a grocery getter.
  16. Okay CW, probably worded it NQR (Not Quite Right :D ). A set of SpiderTrax spacers is about $100 agreed (BTW they are back-ordered now), and there are plenty of el-cheapo steely wheels that are available as you pointed out, but I like my Ravine wheels, and had to keep them because they are the only OEM alloy wheels w. the correct BS and enough width inside to clear my rear disk brake calipers. The American Racing stuff you referred to may or may not have sufficient clearance, but in any event I don't like them. :D My only concern with the spacers was the stud length; I needed an additional .125" over stock to make up for the rear disk backing plates on my rig (thanks for the measurement SW2). The SpiderTrax spacer stud length was actually slightly more than I needed, and I'm getting a full eight lug nut rotations to snug them up vs. the six I had before. Completely happy with them, and have no doubts regarding their safety mate.
  17. We have lost or are soon to lose 17 Mopar dealers statewide here in 'Bama. Luckily my little home town 80 year old Mom & Pop dealer is alive and well for now, mainly because they also sell Fords. They never have the Jeep parts I need which will only get worse I'm sure, but they always bend over backwards to get them for me at their cost. Thankful they made the cut...........
  18. If your HO fan comes on when you disco the thermostat temp sensor, the aux fan relay in the PDC (Power Distribution Center, right side engine) is fine. It will not come on w. the A/C if the compressor doesn't cycle. Normally they come on at 218-224 degrees or so, too high IMHO. On the HOs it's easy to wire in an unused SPST dash switch to apply a ground to the correct ECU pin to turn the fan it on w/o altering it's normal operation. Shoot me a PM w. your email address and I'll send you a wiring diagram. I've had my 91 aux fan wired like this for years w. a dual electric fan setup.
  19. Frank Z's an old NAXJA hand. Let him try get his info there. ;)
  20. I can get a wheel set w. more back spacing for $100, the cost of a pair of Jeep-specific SpiderTrax spacers?? Where? I don't think so. Also agree w. ComancheKid45 about not running spacers up front. And as far as legality, depends on where you live. From DOT archives: “‘Are they street legal?’ This is a tough one because there is no one legitimate answer. The DOT doesn’t regulate this kind of product, so there is nothing that says it isn’t street legal. Your local vehicle inspection has the authority to say it is or isn’t street legal without it being in writing. Best bet is to check with your local vehicle inspection office and get their position before making your decision.” There may be a DOT reg now that affects the whole US, but I can't find it.
  21. Hmmm. I kind of like the idea of regional sub-forums organized under the Pub. Not only for Meet-and-Greets and other regional events, but it also would be convenient if you're looking for large parts or whole vehicles within driving distance that are cost-prohibitive to ship. Or putting out an SOS call to a nearby responder if you're in a bind. I don't see any need however for CC regional chapters with Presidents or whatever though. We're too small for that.
  22. Yes, for the outer weatherstrip. The window pieces are different though.
  23. Yep, same as the 96 and below 4-DR XJ front doors.
