  1. No worries Fiat. The banners, radio, MJ pin; they'll all rust out within a year. :D
  2. Many many like that here too Rob at scrap prices. See them all the time while riding around on the bike. I just don't collect them - no room. Yep, you gotta move..........
  3. If it was a Leer I'd say buy it, and p/u a rear hatch from a SWB topper as they are the same. Plenty of them around. But that's not a Leer, looks more like a Brahma , and they are scarce. So I also say pass on this one.
  4. Yes. The ohmeter is one of the multis of the multimeter, along with AC/DC voltmeter, ampmeter, etc. Learn how to use it correctly and it will be your best friend.
  5. Disconnect the wire and test it with an ohmeter to be sure it goes to ground. No.
  6. Just because it looks fine does not mean it is. Trace the wire out to the distant end and make sure it's connected to a good ground. Disconnect the wire from the dash bracket and check it for continuity to ground with a ohmmeter.
  7. You probably don't have the courtesy lights then. Look for a black wire attached to the dash support bracket with a sheet metal screw in the lower left corner of the dash. It's behind the lower dash panel.
  8. Check your main dash board ground connection. It is a #12AWG black wire that attaches to a metal bracket behind the lower dash cover, left side near the AC vent used to cool the driver's legs. It's about 3" from the driver's foot well courtesy light. If you lay on your back and look up at the courtesy lamp you should see the sheet metal attachment screw. Make sure the connection is tight and corrosion free.
  9. Aftermarket radio? Unplug it and see if your lighting problems disappear.
  10. Let's see. Creature comforts installed in the original base no options 91: Power windows, locks, mirrors, driver seat, antenna Homelink Cruise Auto dimming rear view mirror Delay wipers Dual auto cooling fans Remote CD/AM/FM Vanity visors Ambient dash temp display Cop out. None of this stuff goes wrong if installed right. L.E Liberty luxury?
  11. It's hard to tell anything from the video as you predicted. :( Just for kicks and grins, have you pulled the inspection plate and checked the flexplate for cracks and loose bolts?
  12. I used the OME 930 coils on my truck w. an extra spring pad and got a full 3"" lift. The only thing I needed to do was get the 92+ XJ longer sway bar end links, and add an adjustable track bar as it shifted the axle off-center about 1/2". These springs really ride and handle well.
  13. Hmmm. I think I remember reading once or twice that you had never bought new tires. Or is my memory failing - again?
  14. Just curious, where did you get your three years of law enforcement? Military or civilian? And for sure - do NOT burn bridges. Hope you get the job.
  15. I don't see anything wrong with those oil pressure numbers. My stroker numbers are slightly higher than that, and it's been going strong for about 12K miles now. I do have a Hesco HO oil pump in it though. I wouldn't worry about it in your case. I have noticed that valve train noise is quieter when I use dino oil. My favorite is Chevron Delo 400 15W40 diesel oil. Been using it for years in all my junk.
  16. The first two have been answered, so I'll do the third. :D To convert to delay wipers, you need to: 1) install a wiper delay module inline on the column wiring harness at the base of the column, 2) install a new turn signal stalk w. the delay wiper function, and 3) replace the multifunction switch inside the column. This involves tearing down the column to parade rest. If you haven't done it before, it can be difficult. Easier just replace the whole steering column.

    Seabreacher

That too. :D I wouldn't want to be in it if Jaws decided to mate with it.

    Seabreacher

Only in Cali. I'd hate to run into a submerged log in this thing. http://www.seabreacher.com/seabreacher-x http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jz0BbIGbCCM
  20. Just saw that last night on Versus channel reruns. I'm not crazy about MMA but that kick was a work of art. When they interviewed him at the end he said he practices it all the time.
  21. Sure is. :( Someone should run the VIN (1JTMW6459JT) to see if was an original street MJ. Don't know if it would though......

    Wildman??

Sent him a couple of PMs like a couple of months ago and they are still sitting in my outbox. Hope all is well for Buffalo Bob.

    Wildman??

Anyone hear from Buffalo Bob, aka as the Wildman?
  25. Most all electronics (and many other parts) on the late AMCs were sourced out from GM, Chrysler, Ford, and of course the Renault junk. AMC was dying and had no $$ for developing new products. The trick is to get the AMC part number, then run it thru a good aftermarket cross-reference for vehicle applications. You can usually save big $$ and get a good OEM GM-Chrysler-Ford part that's identical to the AMC original.
