    They're pretty versatile too. :D
  2. Yes, if you have the MJ bucket seat brackets, any XJ/MJ bucket seat 92 and below will bolt directly to them with no modifications. You can also use the bench seat brackets, but one bucket will be fixed (not slide). I have not done this, but someone will chime in. I drive it most everyday Gary. That color kind of hides the dirt.
  3. Welcome to the club Remi. I've been rooming with mostly the dogs for years - prefer it to the female drama. Nice find.
  4. :rotf: Yeah, well he probly likes me even less since Alabama came to visit LSU. THIS Kyle Busch: And hey Jake - we still have Auburn.
  5. Anything to help Kyle Busch. Can you send me your autograph?
  6. Start hitting the yards. There were several upscale trim interiors used throughout the MJ/XJ years; Laredo, Country, leather heated seats, etc. Seats from any XJ up to 1993 are a direct bolt-in for the MJs, and door/dash panels and parts up to 1996 can be used. I preferred the Laredo interior and swapped in the seats from a 2-door XJ Laredo and all the rest 4-door XJ Laredo.
  7. Pitfalls? What pitfalls? What's a pitfall?

  9. :agree: It's caused by intermittent contact between the spring loaded grounding pin and the rotating plate under the horn button. Lightly sand both to shiny metal w. 0000 steel wool, then smear a thin coat of dielectric grease on all moving parts to prevent further corrosion.
  10. It'll work, but you'll have to drill new mounting holes for it as you would with a 91 washer bottle. It's tight. That's why I went with the 97+ bottle inside the fender well.
  11. Put 'em up on Ebay RIGHT HERE. If they don't sell, I'll just keep them. :D
  12. Thanks Sink. I do too. :D And yeah Jimmy, I used three of them. The chrome polished up well on them, and retouched the black vinyl centers with leather dye, them picked up four JeeP aluminum center caps for $2.99 total and glued them on. They look like new. One nice thing about these turbine wheels is they cover the dust cover that stuck thru the wheels before on my front 2WD hubs.
  13. If they are both 3-spoke wheels they can be swapped w. no problems. If your MJ has the 2-spoke wheel, the horn grounding internals are different.
  14. OME coil springs are marked R and L for just that reason.
  15. The 95 voltmeter, temperature, and oil pressure gauges will work if you install them in your 89 cluster. The fuel, tachometer, and speedometer gauges will not.
  16. Agree, +6 degrees should be fine.
  17. That's odd. When I did my lift (3") I used the WJ LCAs, and all it required for shims was one 4mm shim on each side to correct my caster from 4.5* to 7.0*. Did you use the thick 4.0mm shims or the thin .95mm shims?
  18. I always used an icepick. 8)
  19. The TJ uses an in-tank submerged sender and pump but the float sensor voltage output is the wrong polarity for the MJ fuel gauge. Your gauge will read empty when full and vice-versa. The fix is to pull the fuel sensor out of the TJ tank, and desolder the wire connected to the end of the potentiometer and resolder it to the other end of the potentiometer. This is done on the PC board like in in the pic below. Or you can just live with the wrong polarity readings on the gauge and fill it up when the gauge reads full.
  20. You can also use the molded hoses (w/o the water control valve) from a 97+ XJ as they stopped using the valve in 1997. I ditched the valve years ago. Just another useless part that breaks and cause problems.
  21. Well said Rick. Agree with all Rob said, and you will catch a break real soon. You're due mate.
  22. Didn't check Advance, just Autisnzone and O'Reillys. Will check Advance tomorrow. Thanks.
  23. I looked. All they had were the smaller 5/16" size, not the 3/8" size.
