  1. Auto tranny? My 91 stumbled under WOT until I got the kickdown cable adjusted right.
  2. What's your pedal like now?
  3. Not a Ford. I think they all had vertical grilles. But I don't know what it is. :dunno:
  4. No, but I'd sure like to. Preferably bolt-on. I know - dream on. If you do it, be sure to write it up.
  5. :agree: w. Johnny. I HAD Redline struts and they work great. But not with the cowl hood, so I had to remove them. :(

  7. Be advised this table was derived by triangulation, is for reference only, and does not compensate for other vagaries that may be present in your suspension/steering system. I didn't create the table, but did check the math, and it's correct and should get you in the correct caster ballpark.
  8. Paul, the Mopar p/n's above were (supposedly) originally Mitsubishi units that Mopar re-badged as the Jeep CD player option. I couldn't find any of the Jeep badged CD players, so looked for a Mitsubishi original. Couldn't find any of those either, didn't look really hard though, but stumbled on the the single DIN size Mitsubishi unit that I eventually used and amk happy with. So if you're looking for a correct period Jeep CD player, I'd be looking in Mitsubishi vehicles.
  9. Done. It's a sticky in the DIY section. You can actually get by with stock "fixed" control arms up up to 4" by shimming out the LCAs to correct caster. There's enough adjustment room there for a bit over 1/2 inch.

  11. Been trying to reach the local DMV all day; no answer. Little did I know that today is Confederate Memorial Day, a state holiday in AL, FL, GA, and MS. :dunno:
  12. Because they have no imagination. Or class.

  14. You are correct.
  15. I couldn't find one either and ended up installing a Mitsubishi single DIN unit. Looks almost factory.
  16. Looks great inside and out. Nice find G.
  17. Yes there was. The CD player was a rare option for 95 and below XJs (as far as I know they were not on MJs). They were single DIN and there also was a "pull out" unit for them. The part numbers are below. GJeep out in Cali has a NOS unit he is going to install in the MJ he's restoring. 82300394, Mopar/Jeep, AM/FM CD Radio, 280.00 82300393, Mopar/Jeep, AM/FM CD Radio, 280.00 82300392, Mopar/Jeep, AM/FM CD Radio (pull-out), 280.00
  18. The Teraflex caliper mount bracket/back plate/ebrake is a complete machined bolt-on assembly that mounts on the D44 axle flange. The spacer sits between this assembly and the D44 axle flange and sets the preload on the axle seals. And yes, they will sell the assembies (L & R) by themselves. The assemblies accept the stock 95-01 Ford Explorer rotors and brake calipers. The pic of the bracket assemblies is shown below circled in RED. These (and their preload spacers) are really the only "special" components you will need to convert the D44 (or non c-clip D35) to Ford Explorer disk brakes if you supply your own Explorer rotors and calipers/pads.
  19. It's for the XJs only. Model JCSU-9193. http://www.mtscompany.com/sendingunits.htm
  20. Nope. There are two vendors, one for each side. One is a dealer and the $75/side is much less than their book price. Best price I could get from either source. :(
  21. You must be from 'Bama. Oh - wait, you're from TN! That's even worser.
  22. They are. 91-92 HOs have no timer module, the timing is done internally in the ECU. To turn the MR lamp off you can go to the stealer and he'll charge you one man hour's time to stick the DRB-II on and turn it off, find your own DRB like Joe did, or remove the bulb like I did.

    Cooling

ASSuME you mean the mechanical fan?? You can get these from the dealer for $20-$25.
  24. Me too. It just looks "right". Dual stacks would be nice too.
