  1. This is how the factory plumbs in the aux cooler and is the way I did mine. The cooler is in plumbed in series with the bottom radiator line which is the transmission return line. The transmission return line is always the rearmost cooling line on the AW4 transmission.
  2. :huh???: Tranny oil coolers are always installed in series with the return line. Do your own research to ID if it's the upper or lower line on the radiator depending on whatever truck you're referring to. And/or if you want to keep the built-in radiator tranny oil cooler when you plumb it in.
  3. I did the LCA and UCA arm replacements recently and had little problem getting the bolts inserted through. No jacking up or unbolting suspension parts; just left it sitting on the ground and blocked. I did the one side at a time; the left lower, then the right lower, then left upper and right upper. I had to use a pipe wrench and cheater once on the right upper to twist the axle a bit to get the last bolt in. The toughest part of the whole job was replacing the two axle bushings for the UCAs. :dunno:
  4. Should work. I used MJ bucket seat brackets to mount my XJ seats, but they are getting hard to find. The MJ bench brackets will also work for XJ buckets, but I personally haven't done it. Several members have and someone will probably chime in. Using the bench brackets and the Corbeau adapters would probably make the seat too high though. :dunno:

  6. Part number 52003782. Here among many other places: http://www.quadratec.com/products/56109_13.htm?sgsc=QSHOPGBASE
  7. Not only that, the 2WD and 4WD rods are different too. I think I still have one if I didn't toss it. Or you can always fab your own rod: http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=17968&hilit=load+rod
  8. Then check NAPA. They have a web site. And yes, it's formed. But since you do not ID what MJ year/model/engine/ etc. etc. It's tough to give an answer......... Put the data in your signature old man for future reference. :D
  9. Check the ignition starter switch, left side of the lower steering column. Press the switch by hand tight to the column and try to start. If not, remove and look for burnt contacts.
  10. The rubber piece is available at the dealer (about $9) but the bracket is a junkyard only item. But you probably already know know that. :dunno:
  11. The rubber piece or the metal hanger bracket? Also the LWB and SWB brackets are different.

  13. Probably all true. Just sayin they are not listed in the XJ parts manuals after 87. They probably had a lot of 44s left over. You can still find them today as surplus. Tapco International had a bunch of them last year. A CC member (Ren I believe) got a surplus XJ D44 from one of the Dana plants awhile back.
  14. American woman - stay away from me-hee.
  15. Believe you Bo, but it's not listed as a factory option for the 88s. But as it always is, nothing is written in stone. There were probably lots of parts leftovers at the dealers and maybe some found their way into the 88s for a fee. Never have seen an 88 with one, and I looked hard for a couple of years, but that doesn't mean much. Most of the old XJ/Waggys from that era had been "recycled" now unfortunately. If you're patient enough an 87-92 MJ D44 will show up before the older XJ D44 since because of the age.
  16. The last year the factory offered Dana 44 rear axles for XJ Cherokees and Wagoneers was 1987.
  17. Jeesh, what caused that Sam? Acid rain?
  18. It's still there and working great. No problems. The worst situation for me is getting stuck in traffic on a 100* day, and sometimes I need to have both fans on until I get rolling again. Of course there is more electrical load then, so a bigger alternator is better. Not mandatory but better.
  19. This one Bo? Image Not Found And yes, still have my first MJ. It's a bit different now though...........

  21. Nice but more better if you used a chrome door handle placed vertically under the lock cylinder? if's that's what it is.
  22. :hijack: They are good, but the best is the Vidalia onion from Georgia. They are so sweet you eat em like an apple. Mmmmmmmmmm
