Krusty makes strong stuff. How much? Pic? Don't want no weak-azz thinwall tubing. Let's see a design when you get some spare time, that is if you have any spare time.
That's a short tube header. The defunct Mopar Performance (Mike Leach) header is the only true long tube header I know of for the 4.0. I think if someone were to copy and market a similar unit for a reasonable price, they would sell all they could make.
I'd rent a gauge at Autozone or somewhere and check engine vacuum. If okay, then replace booster, booster/master, or upgrade to double diaphragm booster brakes. Your choice.
Agree. Short tube headers have little to no effect on exhaust sound. Long tube headers, like the Mike Leach header below however do change the sound more - makes it a bit lower. It did for me.

Would like to help ID it for you, but my vacuum lines are nothing like OEM anymore since I did the new 01 intake manifold. I don't see your vacuum check valve in there either..
Because the OP's a kid. I did the same back in the day, as most of us "older" guys did when they were young. It's part of the learning process. OP, I say go for it with your 2.5. Once you hear how ridiculous it sounds you'll soon grow out of it.
The standard MJ radio bracket will work, but it's a PITA getting it to sit right in the hole. I've got a template that works pretty well if anyone needs it down the road.
They were a blast. You could bore out that 3-banger to 850 cc's, throw on a set of triple throat carbs and a GT exhaust w. expansion chamber and get almost 60 HP out of them at @ 5500 RPM. They were screaming LOUD and dominated ice racing on Lake Champlain until the Olds Toronados came out. My Swedish grandfather used to race them back in the 60's.
