  1. Me too. ;)
  2. Glad you got a good one. Me too. Pretty sure we all agree with that.
  3. You Sir, are the Self-appointed President for Life of the Canadian MJ Preservation Society (Eagle handles that job down in the lower forty). Super job and keep up the good work. You must have a great wife to put up with your addiction.
  4. Does peyote grow as far north as Pueblo Jim? :D
  5. Have you checked for fault codes? http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=29857
  6. Geesh, I just sold a NOS one for a 92 MJ on Ebay about a month ago. You CAN use an underhood harness from any OBDI 91-95 HO XJ or 91-92 MJ, but the 91 harness had some uniqueness as it's the first year of the HOs. The major one is the firewall connector. Your best bet for plug-and-play is a harness from a 91 MJ (good luck), second best is one from a 91 XJ. I'll send you a PM later of a friend who I think has one and is pretty close to you also.
  7. Some advice regarding car-part.com: During my two year search for an MJ Dana 44 I used car-part.com quite a bit trying to find one fairly close by. Of the three I found advertised within driving distance that I went to look at, all three were D35s. :fs1: I don't know if the yard monkeys in your area are like the morons here, but before driving out 100 miles or so to look have them snap a pic of the pumpkin and email it to you first. If they refuse to do it, look elsewhere.
  8. Image Not Found Old and new. Amazing to see how the original has "shrunk" over the years. I had to double-check the part number to make sure they were the same. Was fun stretching the upholstery over the new one. Feels like I'm sitting 2" higher now.
  9. 9mm. Perfect size.
  10. I replaced mine with the newer 01 type liners. They fit perfectly but I did have to punch two extra holes in each side - no problem.
  11. Okay. Just wanted to be sure it wasn't a low pump pressure output problem.
  12. Very easy on the 99. Loosen/remove the belt, pull the hoses, then remove the three bolts that attach it to the mounting arm. Come right off with the reservoir. Did you replace the steering gear box with another OEM box or with a quick ratio ZJ box?
  13. You bet your azz.
  14. Grab the front air diffuser piece too from the donor XJ when you pull the console. The MJ diffuser w/o a console doesn't work, leaves a gap between the dash and console..
  15. You have her nearly perfect, now you have to go for the gusto to justify the plate mate. Image Not Found
  16. I wasn't going to comment as asking for other's opinions on "what should I do" or "should I buy this", etc etc. is something only you can decide for yourself based on your own research. But I agree with all the above. A lifted ZJ is probably one of the worst choices as to what you are looking for, especially at that price. And this isn't MJ Tech - moved.........
  17. Gonna be comfy...... :D Image Not Found
  18. Probably because your seat bottom pad is toast. :D
  19. That may be counter-productive. When I crewed on a stock car, everyone cut down the impellers on their water pumps to flow LESS water, so the water had more "dwell time" in the radiator to allow the heat to transfer. If the water was pushed through too fast, the rate of transfer wasn't sufficient to remove enough heat. I kinda agree with that, but for a different reason. Stock cars run flat out for short distances so the flow would be maximum at all times; you can afford to slow the flow. And they don't sit in traffic or rock crawl where you need maximum coolant flow keep the engine cool when there is little air flow. I wouldn't mess with the pulley to increase the pump RPM; more wear and tear and more HP needed to turn it. But I would consider a Hesco or similar high flow H20 pump because of their more efficient impeller design. It pushes more water and takes less HP to turn the pump. In fact, Chrysler used the Hesco-designed impeller on the 01 XJ water pumps and maybe others.
  20. Mine is exactly like this: http://gojeep.willyshotrod.com/HowtoWaterpump.htm
  21. Yes, that's correct, at least the one I have is like that. With your skills I would think you have more than enough talent to fab your own cowl hood. It really really helps the underhood air flow.
  22. After much trial and error, here's what works great for me: 1. Dual 10-blade electric fans (Make sure the shroud of the fan that replaces the mechanical fan is no more than 1/4" away from the rad coils; close as you can get it). This is the main cooling fan. 2. Thicker two core all-aluminum FFD radiator w. 12 PSI pressure cap. (http://www.ffdynamics.com/JeepRadiatorsA.html). 3. Hesco high-flow thermostat housing and water pump, Mopar 195* thermostat. 4. Return hose with the internal spring. 5. Cowl hood (heat really pours out the back when in traffic). Temp gauge never goes above 220*, and the second fan is seldom needed.
  23. Outstanding! If you installed the OEM splash shield under there it would help keep it cleaner longer.
  24. Not a regulation Jeep factory wheel, I don't know what they are. But if it came off a 91 YJ, it will have the same bolt pattern as your MJ. As for back spacing or width, :dunno:
  25. Well yeah, understand that. It just doesn't make sense on the Thunderchief concept; definitely not intended for a flexi-maximus rig. And yes, I'd like some interior pics too if possible. Wouldn't we all Bo.
