  1. Okay, nobody up there uses Bondo for rust. Then how come don't magnets stick to any metal vehicle up there over five years old? Must be because of all the fiberglass.
  2. Didn't know you lived in the arctic Dirty. If it were not for you guys up there, Bondo would go out of business.
  3. Calling out the "warmer climate like your north-East, or rust belt, whatever you want to call it" is like the pot calling the kettle black. Anywhere north of the Mason-Dixon line sucks for vehicles, and the further north you go the suckage increases. You must enjoy driving rust buckets Gog.
  4. Use an HO 91 or above brake pedal switch and re-purpose it. Each switch has three sets of contacts; two NC (normally closed) and one NO (normally open) set of contacts for brake lights, cruise, and torque converter lock. It mounts the same way as the switch pictured above. It will have to be hardwired in or use an HO brake pedal switch connector w. a pigtail.
  5. I have an older Actron that reads codes on all my Jeeps, from the 91 MJ OBD1 system to the 2018 Compass. I have to update the software for the newer OBD2 models sometimes to keep up, but it's supposedly compatible with all current OBD2 vehicles. Hasn't failed on any vehicle I've tried it on, including some OBD1 vehicles that may require a special cable to fit the varied diagnostic connectors.
  6. The front and rear axle ratios must match. Since the 4.88 ratio you are going to for the front and is numerically higher than the rear D44 carrier break, you will have to use a "thick" 4.88 R&P gear set like those linked below. I went from 3.55 to 4.10 with my D44 years ago using Yukon "thick" gears so I could retain the original Trac-Lok carrier, and it worked well. https://eastcoastgearsupply.com/i-16500970-yukon-dana-44-4-88-thick-ring-pinion.html
  7. Thanks Bo. I'll always be a Joe Sixpack though. Lots of vitamins and minerals you know.
  8. The early 60s was when I started smoking, and quit on July 9th this year. That's about 1-1/2 months ago, and I'm still hanging. It's not easy, but I don't see myself ever doing it again. And yes, being around people smoking does bother me, probably always will.
  9. On Ebay they are selling for ~$45 on the high side. Probably not a lot of them left....
  10. "The body seems to be basically sound -- haven't crawled underneath to fully assess the condition underneath, but I expect it to be salvageable." ^^^^ Nothing until i did this. ^^^^
  11. This is what works best - 3/8" speed wrench.
  12. Yeah, that's what I thought.
  13. Is that switch normally open or normally closed? You need a NO switch for the brake lights.
  14. G, just noticed your heater hose brackets bolted to the valve cover. They look much neater than the stock plastic POS. How? Homemade? Beautiful work as per your usual.
  15. HO CPS Compatibility. Period. Everything else not pertaining to that was irrelevant. Do you not get it? I think you should check your grounds or something. Good one on the Zuckerberg comment though. I had to google it because I hate Farcebook and had no clue who this guy is.
  16. Did you even read the thread Renix-man? The question was answered by Gjeep - bingo - thread answered and over. Nothing was asked, wanted, or needed about Renix anything. All the Renix BS was irrelevant - nothing to do with the topic. Like you always do. Quit whining....
  17. I don't know Pete, a KJ pulling hafa MJ? Looks kinda strange...
  18. This thread is entitled HO CPS Compatibility and had nothing to do with anything else until someone interjected some Renix comment. If you want to talk about Renix stuff, start another thread.
  19. All it needs are black "Jeep" letters on the tailgate.
  20. Looks great Pete. See THIS ad in the classifieds.
  21. Only raggin' on ya a bit. It'll be fine.
