What Did Your Wife Do To Your Comanche Today?
earl*t replied to earl*t's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Glad I could be of assistance. :laughin: -
 Thanks for sharing Rob.

The state of suspended animation and the state of confusion. :laughin: Just jokin' guys, couldn't help myself. If I wasn't on the East coast I'd be on it. I suppose I have an affinity for the odd or unusual. I also agree with Moos, it would make a nice platform for an Overlander, awesome trail rig, or work truck. The lockable storage potential is great.

Monkeys don't seem to mind. :dunno:

Windshield Rubber Molding And Rear Slider Molding
earl*t replied to RockMJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
But he's looking for the gasket (which is actually just trim, since it doesn't provide the weather seal), and this replacement window specifies that it does NOT come with the weatherstrip. In passing, I also think it's sort of disingenuous (as in "a lie") for them to call this a direct replacement when it isn't even close. The original has three panels; this has four. The original used curved glass, and I'll bet this uses flat glass. It might work sort of okay and it might be sort of half decent but -- direct replacement? I think not. I've ordered several items from Team Cherokee. My experience has been without incident, however, I agree that the picture shown is not an original Comanche unit which is also stated in the product description. The wording is misleading, or at least confusing. The sentence stating that the seal is not included is immediately followed by "get it here and now...". This reference is apparently to the window, not a seal. :hmm: RockMJ said his slider was completely shot, mostly plexiglass, and that he'd be replacing it. I was trying to be helpful by sharing the unit as a possible option. The last thing I'd want to be party to is misinformation...sorry if I was Eagle. There's already too much available. -

     This is my version of a Comanche Club "Five Star" rating. This build represents the level beyond the next level. Props on your ridiculous skill set and execution Alexia. This Manche of the Month was a no-brainer Ben! It's nice when even the local law enforcement knows you. -
Hi Lime. (?) Don't be fooled by the "Club" thing. This is really a cult. May I offer you a cup of koolaid? :rotf: This site is more fun than a barrel of monkeys. :jump: Welcome and enjoy.

Hi fellas. I just returned home from Marietta this evening. I have family there. There was a nice looking lifted MJ at the neighbors home.

Superb job! The bumper mods, front and rear, are super clean. It's amazing how dramatically the small details impact the over all appearance. Were you able to mount a winch?

I think too often our fear of embarrassment prevents us from learning. I've often had questions unasked from fear of appearing ignorant. As a result, I remained ignorant. :hmm: I know we're all familiar with the adage, "There's no such thing as a stupid question". Well, unfortunately, there is. :laughin: I've asked more than my fair share. :shake: But, it hasn't stopped me from askin. My point is, don't just lurk, wade on into the water...if it gets too deep, someone will throw you a floattie. Back to the topic at hand. Earlier this week I spoke to a sales rep from "smartpart". I was informed that they had no AW4 cores available but that I could ship mine in for their services. I could have misunderstood what he said, but he gave me the impression that there was a shortage of the AW4s. I find that difficult to believe. :dunno: I don't know if the shortage is exclusive to their operation or the market at large. Does anyone have insight on this matter?

 I also found this. http://www.naxja.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1059682 I believe it's a reasonably priced valve body upgrade. May or may not be of interest. :dunno:
