  3. Hi all. I just ran across this vid and thought I'd share it with the community. It's from the PA All Breeds Jeep Show. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UW0uXvVf2ZI
  4. Structural engineer? What about a geologist?
  5. Thanks Rob. When I first joined I recall an option to select between the two. I guess we're living cyber evolution.

    And miss Bruno Mars? :rotf:
  8. Pete, would you share how CC came about? Motivation, hierarchy, early to present moderators, growth, the whole shebang. An "About CC" tab would be informative.

    MD guys

I may be the western most Maryland Comanche Club member. :dunno: I'm up for what ever.
  10. Congratulations on an impressive job done well Shawn. Very good looking original appearance.
  11. Hi buddy! IMHO gogmorgo has already offered very good suggestions. Quite obviously, moisture is the enemy of bare metal. Ergo, prevent moisture contamination. The period of storage time and environment will dictate the best option for protection. Coating with WD40 (Water dispersant) is relatively inexpensive and adequate for short intervals. For longer periods of time and/or harsher environments, oil creates a thicker barrier for a bit more cost. For longer periods of storage, an industrial product, cosmoline is much thicker and dries to a tacky finish. It can be purchased in aerosol form. It can be cleaned off when ready for installation. I'm sure you'll get other great options as well.
  12. http://www.suspensionconnection.com/468-comanche-sway-bar.html I don't have any first hand experience with this sway bar. The same company also offers a larger than stock sway bar for the front.
  13. As a result of following this thread, I just installed the Putco harness and Hella E-codes in my wife's XJ. To each his/her own, but I would highly recommend this upgrade. Excellent bang for the buck, I need to order three more sets.
  14. To answer your initial question, yes I have.
  15. And a set of bead locks in reserve.
  16. Priorities.
  17. :laughin: That thought crossed my mind but I considered it best if you brought up the paint issue.
  18. Wouldn't think of forgettin' those old boys Spector. :rotfl2: They're the fellas that don't put anything in the space for age in the profiles. Our MJs are antiques and the older guys... well they're are a lot older than our antiques. Whooee, I just remembered I forgot my age in my profile. :teehee:
  19. Hey LIME!!! I didn't intend my monkey business or exaggerated social persuasion to create :hijack: . Your story is a familiar one. Discovery of our truck's club can be comparable to opening Pandora's box. Who knows what's inside! As amazing as many of the Manches on site are, the personalities behind the pictures are equally impressive. If you're so inclined, consider a build thread in the "Your project MJs" forum. We'd be interested in following the progression of your truck and the building of your automotive related skills. The majority take quite a while and surprisingly many are undertaken by poor college students. :rotf: There are also a few ambitious high school students among our ranks. Happy wrenching. :wrench:
