  1. I believe your right, but I was trying to bring attention to the fact that gear ratios will be different between a manual and auto.
  2. It is also worth noting, a 4.0 AW4 with 3.55 and 33s will underperform a 4.0 AX-15 with 3.55 and 33s. The extra gear, less drivetrain loss and more torquey overall gearing in a manual really helps it along.
  3. The price suggests he doesn't want to get rid of it, and the wife does. It also suggests the wife wants more room in the driveway. I say, take the ad down, and sell whatever the hell that is next to it.
  4. I would not, regardless of engine and transmission. I have a 4.0 with an AX-15, stock would have 3.07 gearing, I have 3.55. With a cold air intake, high flow header and exhaust, bored TB, HO engine with upgraded intake, volvo injectors, and some other performance upgrades, I have trouble pulling a 1000LBS trailer up a hill, and the truck is rated for 5000LBS stock. I plan on getting 4.10 sometime, but 4.56 would probably benefit me more. That's with 33s.
  5. Hmm... where's Jill?
  6. New paint! Never did like the Camo all too much. Inspiration comes from Comanche County: http://comancheclub.com/user/2160-comanche-county/
  7. Early 89 saw the Peugeot, later in the year saw the AX-15.
  8. 9000 Badlands hasn't failed me yet, used a few times, not more than several times a year. Saved me once, and pulled buddies out many times. Cost me $260, with a wireless controller. Up to this point, worth every penny, had it for over a year.
  9. Bad sockets. When you pull the bulb out, are the terminals inside the socket corroded? As in not shiny, or metallic, rather gritty and dark? If so, you can buy new sockets from advance that fit the lens and bulb, and just splice it in with some solder and heat shrink. I had this issue with my front turn signals, very dim, replaced the sockets and good as new. Edit: I just re read your post, you said the rear turn signals work, but the brakes are dim? They use the same bulbs, so this problem may be deeper down...
  10. I thought the ratios worked like this: 2.5 Auto: 4.10 Manual: 3.55 4.0 Auto: 3.55 Manual: 3.07 Is that not how it worked?
  11. I'm at 6'5", have about an inch of room between my knees and kicker, and she's my DD when not on the bike. Any other vehicle I drive, that seat gets SLAMMED back, and I feel like I'm cheating. Then I get into an 06 MX5... The MJ feels like a Hemmet.

    Rear glass

  13. Ahem... Uhwarrie... Same goes for me, how can an "Eastern" pow wow not even be in the eastern time zone? haha
  14. I used the diaphragm and master from a 98 ZJ I found in a JY. Looked for leaks, dirty fluid, signs of wear, all checked out. That was about 2 years ago, and my brakes are still very nice with 33s. New is best, but that doesn't mean used is bad.
  15. I don't get it, how can people have drama HERE of all places? Go to WE TV for that...
  16. I play from time to time, just got a PS4 a little while ago, have a ps3 and ps1 also. Love me some Sony games.
  17. That is so cool, how many miles have you put on the old girl?
  18. If this was actually manned by AMC, why did they misspell "Commanche" on that plaque?
  19. Yes, that's a Japanese car... Yes, that's more of a baby blue than a constellation blue... No, we couldn't get the wind to work in our favor with the flag... Take it for what it is, I love this photo. Have an Awesome Independence Day.
  20. Could be a bad ballast resistor as hornbrod mentioned, or a bad fuel pump relay. My buddy had this problem, we replaced the pump to no avail on his 2.5, swapped one of my relays in place for his and it ran like butter.
  21. I wonder how well it's hit detection is, I'd imagine near trees or building would pose a problem for it unless it can sense they are there. Would be cool to control it directly, too. Can't imagine something like that costs less than $600, pretty awesome though.
  22. Those exact tires with SOA 8.25 rear and 5.5 front:
  23. Hey! Pictures!
  24. Absolutely, I put full syn 10w-30 Walmart brand with a Pure One oil filter for under $30 everytime. There are so many rules and regs on motor oil anyway, how can anyone get it wrong?
