those were my first guesses. However, the radiator feels equally hot over the entire surface, and the lower hose is quite warm. Also now that it is fixed it can sit and idle just fine, so I am not too worried about the clutch. I will however be switching to an electric fan in front once I get the 2500 stuff in.

no it does not,I almost drilled one. I have never had a problem either way with the bleed hole in any of the other jeeps I have owned though so I just threw it in. When I boiled the old thermo a bit ago it has failed about 90% so that was probably the main reason. And the heater valve does not leak anymore so that was probably a bit of a problem too. I did get it fixed though. Ran it with the cap open. Once the t-stat opened I let it burble up and squeezed both hoses a lot. Then shut it off and re-filled it, squeezing both hoses again. It ran fine after all of that. Think I just had a pocket of air in there. It took a lot of water, even though you could see it in the radiator, just kept going in. Ran it at idle for a half hour after that with the heat on and off and then drove it around base for about 20 min same thing, works fine now.

yea, I just threw it in about an hour ago. I double checked real quick and everything is nice and tight. I am waiting for it to cool back off now. Should be getting close enough to work on it without burning myself.

Ok, this started a few months ago with a condition where it would start overheating but if you added a few RPM it would cool back down. My job right now is about a half mile away from my house on base so when I drive the thermo just barely gets to opening, so you can see how this one would get put off. It was just not important enough. Well, when my wife took the truck out to the store yesterday apparently the problem finally came out all the way. She came home with it pegged and some vapor showing. I replaced the heater valve (leaking) and the thermostat today, along with the radiator cap. No change, overheats really fast and never comes down. I am going to go recheck the water level in a few after it cools. the pressure was actually boiling out from under the water outlet. So at this point I am trying to decide where to go next. The upper radiator hose and the cap are hot. I can hear water transfer between the radiator and the overflow jug. My next guess would be a waterpump, but since this is my first 2.5L I wanted to know if there were any other suggestions.

it does to an extent. Worked great on the headlights I have done. I am not sure how well it would have gone through the angles and corners of the tail light though. You could use it for the bulk of the work though.

spines do not stuck, and you actually have to work at it a little bit to get stabbed hard enough to hurt. I have been wearing the gloves the first few days since it is easier to pick him up.

Flight school. I just finished API which is some easier academics you start with. Now I am going into Primary within a month, and my neighbors have both told me that the only real comparison is that it is like college finals week, only every day. But it should be worth it.

I have been using the gloves to get him to the couch, then I take them off and handle him. It has been about 4 days and he is getting better. It is just getting him in and out of the cage that is tough since it is a front door cage and not a lift top cage.

I do not have a choice. I still owe 8 years, and my clock does not start till after I get my Wings 2 years or so from now. So I figure I might as well stay the course as well. Congrats man. Just an Idea, but when my uncle retired, he ended up just coming back as a civilian contractor 4 weeks later, same job. Damn double dipper.

I have been wondering about getting him a lamp or a small heat rock or blanket. I know they are pretty sensitive to cold and theat if they try to hibernate they can die. I read a bunch of stuff online. Mainly I am wondering if there is an easier way to get them used to you. I just try to hold him a few times a day and let him sit in my lap in his little ball when I am watching TV so he gets used to my scent. The puppy learned real quick that it is not his toy. Just walked right up and jammed his nose against him then yelped and ran away. any yea, my wife loves watching him do the little hopping thing. He has gotten us a few times.

The wife got me a pet hedgehog for Valentines day, yea its early. I have always wanted one and she came across a good deal from a mom whose kids have not played with him at all in the 4 mo since she bought it. Trying to get him used to being held, but other than for his bath I have not gotten him to relax very much. He just seems to like hiding on the couch behind the cushion. ^^ pretty much. I agree. However I will have to say that, no offense, The customer service there when they were going out of business was 10 times better than any other time.

some are like that. The flash drive I got my wife was not a spectacular deal, but still better than no deal. They had some great deals on monitors and some TVs. And the boxed car audio like above had good deals.

Me and the wife went out and had a look. This sub and box setup that was already marked down to 160 I walk out with for $89. Not bad. It is a Kicker comp slim box for trucks and a 10" kicker comp sub. Should sound just about right.

I used a nice permatex black silicone sealer to stick it back together, nice thick bead should help to keep the water out. Keep in mind to be easy with the sander. I am hoping to have a better writeup soon.

Ok. I have finished one, and hopefully over the weekend I will do the other and get some good process pictures, mabye make a writeup. Basically I wanted to clean up the tail lights, without going to the detail of wetsanding and micro polishing that gets you into the realm of diminishing returns. I have done this same process with headlights too, so those of you wanting to clean up a newer model composite headlight car with foggy lenses, this will work there too. You need: McGuire's Plastix - it is a white bottled liquid polish for plastics carried at most auto stores - bout $7 Foam sanding sponge 100grit will work fine, finer if you want. I use the foam ones because they conform well - $3ish a good terry towel or microfiber. Tear your tail lights apart if they are already separating. This one was only held together with the outside mounting screws, so it was very easy for me, and the other one does not look much harder. Soak them in a hot water and dish soap solution to loosen up the grit and dirt. Go watch a TV show and drink a beer. I enjoyed a nice Yeungling. Come back and clean them up with some scrubbing, and old tooth brush worked great. get them good and clean. Then clean them again. Next I took an exacto knife and took a lot of the plastic flash and old adhesive off both the light and plastic lens. Now the fun part. My lenses were oxidized pretty bad. The outside of the lens was were 90% of it was. This is good since it is very smooth there. Take the sand paper and lightly scuff the oxidation. The light should become lightly white and uniform. Not too rough or heavy, you do not want to gouge the plastic. You also want to keep it pretty unidirectional. Rince the powder off. Should look better wet. Next you take the Plastix and squirt a nice gob on the lens. Start rubbing it in in circular patterns. If you shine shoes, just like that. Keep doing it. I put Top Gun in and watched it. After all of the polish is smeared out into a thin film, move to another part of the light and work there. Then come back and work this section. Then the other, then back. Take a break and flex your hand, then come back and do it again. The end result should turn out a bit like: I polished the first pic a time or two more to get the final result seen with the tools used, the description sounds harder than it is. enjoy, hope this helps. I am very happy with the results.

I had been wondering this as well. I think I am going to tear my vynal out between API and Primary when I have a break in training. I do want to put carpet back in though.

could you just switch to a 4.0 rad and xmember? should work fine, give you a bigger cooling area too. I have been wondering this, all you would need is to find a hose that would work as needed, and I have a feeling even then the 4.0 upper and lower hoses might be ok. Especially since new ones from the parts store are generally on the long side so they can be trimmed. It would also open up some room between the front fo the block and the radiator for some electric fans.

great swap as long as your wheels will fit the calipers. 16" wheel is fine, but on some aluminum 15" wheels the calipers can rub or not fit. You will need to use XJ unit bearings for the later model I believe, and you will want to use the spacers for sure. JKS makes all the parts you will need. If you go OTK with the steering you will want to buy a few more brackets from them as well to raise the trackbar and relocate the sway bar mounts. I will be doing this on my 2wd MJ eventually once I get around to it.

The tech smiled and walked over to my truck on the lift, put both hands on the bottom of the 33" tire and lifted up. Tire moved close to an inch. My reaction, "Oh, hmm, guess ill be back after I change those" Tech says "yea, I know I don't want to do it, and I know you do not want to pay shop rates for me to do it", and "oh, by the way; spring for the HD quality joints, you are gonna need em."

my 1991 stroker uses Lt1 injectors from a camaro. Could never get a set of FMS ones that would work well. Just another option. And ruggers: you are comparing apples and oranges. Is this a turbodiesel that you upped the boost on? How did you measure that 50hp gain? Chassis Dyno or butt dyno? Did you use a power programmer of some sort when you did it? Lots of variables to that one.
