    How do airless compressors work?

    new compressor

Fixed it for you..... FBW... For BIG Wallets..... Yes. Though a couple of years back a guy I knew was looking into buying some from thailand(where he worked alot) We could get 220V compressors(without air tanks) for about $300. I was ready to do it, but it fell apart and never happened.

Yes similar, but a little more akin to a turbo compressor wheel. I kinda wondered why no one ever made scroll type air compressor, might be that its just a new enough design that it hasn't really been implemented for an air compressor.
  6. ya its funny how many people list the engine on a cherokee as a V6.

    Screw compressor FTW.
  8. Dude, you will spend much less time to go pull a case for $60 than to rebuild another one. Just go pull the nicest newest transfer case and throw it in. Personally I think your just a likely to have a problem with a rebuild in a year than you are a used one from the junk yard right away. If you get one from a JY then chances are if its bad you will know right away, you will take it back, and get another or get your money back. Or you can spend the time and extra money to rebuild yours. Personally I would do what got my Jeep back on the road fastest, and thats grabbing a used case and installing it the same day. In less than 12 hours the Jeep can be back on the road.
  9. Have you ever been to Odessa? Rocket scientists are not grown there. :dunce: I could see how a rusty exhaust and a rusty floor board could provide an easier escape for exhaust gases than forcing the water out of the way. But, I'd like to know more details too. It is so hard to find any useful information in the news. Willy My thoughts exactly. Its Odessa, hell its not even midland. These are people that are not smart enough to figure out how to get the hell out of odessa! Crappy old truck(prolly 2WD in texas), in a mud pit with a crappy exhaust and floor. Mix in some bud light and lethal levels of CO probably built up by the time the three remaining brain cells could figure out what was going on.
  10. sounds like you need to take all donor parts for a 4L while you are at it.
  11. Man, non lifted jeeps with good sized tires look awesome.
  12. oh trust me. It's a tall damm engine. But being stuffed so far back and with the angle the engine makes compared to the fender supports it make the front look real high.
  13. By painting some stock stuff agate do you mean the seat pedestal trim now attached to the ZJ seats? Looks good so far, also, get your headlight switch installed already.
  14. Oh yes, lots of time was spent making sure it would clear the hood. Had to remove the oil filler riser to make the engine a little shorter too.
  15. Ok so I cleaned up the garage this evening and got back into it. So since I didn't feel like doing any real work I decided to lay out the wiring and get a handle on what I was going to need to modify. For the most part it looks like it lays out nicely in the engine bay. There are a few sensors I will able to ditch(all the evap stuff), the ECU EFI control subharness is already removed and on the floor(very little needed to run the 4L when you strip it down), plus some misc things like cruise control etc will make the engine bay a little cleaner. Course that also means more time to strip it down remove $#!&, and rewrap it. Also gonna be relocating the battery to the drivers side, and then running some heavy gauge wire over to the PDC.
  16. I was looking for a spray to make them multiply.....If trucks could reproduce i would have a baby mj facory :chillin: Just put a bunch of stem cells next to it so you grow another one:
  17. Move on with your life. Its not the aggravation over $30.
  18. Ya, clearly you don't have a problem if you only own 5 Jeeps.
  19. I found ZD30DDTi shipped from japan for ~2500 for a complete 4wd clip.
  20. Pfff, I'm doing fine, I only own 5.
  21. I'd take the damn thing whole. Too bad it is a SD-33, not a SD-33T. But you could make a pretty awesome light diesel truck out of one. The CJ-10 cab, a new frame (or stretch that one), and a flat-deck or a willys P/U style box... I have too many 'good' plans and no where near the time, space, money, or technical skills to see them all though. Darn. Personally I would rather they had come with the LD28T. A man can dream right?
  22. Because you need to have it when you own a Jeep.
  23. Here's mine:
  24. Camera angle makes the rear leaf packs look pretty wierd.
