  10. I just read something about that in JP, apparently ATK will be making the engines or something like that. Ya, I haven't heard good things about ATK engines in the past. i wonder where they will be sourcing their blocks/cranks from?
  11. PM me with what you might want off of it. It will be given to a college, but they won't do anything with it. ok pm sending...
  12. Make sure to clean the MAP sensor and unplug the MAF before you leave for optimal fuel mileage.

  19. Right, go put them in, NOW.
  20. There is no front end crash sensors on a XJ, the airbags and the safing sensor(s) are located in the ACM which is under the center console(97/98s had it under the drivers seat, though it was recalled and moved under the center console). The Cab is the exact same size as our XJ Cabs, doors etc all fit it, the front half of a MJ is virtually the same as an XJ.
  21. Can we get a picture with the headlights mounted yet?
  22. That's not a rumor, it's a fact. My wife is from Chile. I met her on a wheeling trip in Chile with a fellow member of NAXJA who is Chilean and who invited me down to go wheeling with his club. They verify that Venezuelan XJs (the early ones) were built to export specs and have genuine Dana 44 axles. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the XJs and MJs that go (went) to Chile were built in the U.S. factory and are identical to the ones we can but here. Except that the hidden winch option is (was) VERY popular down there. Not that I doubt you, but all I have ever heard about it was something like you said. I've never seen any pictures, and no one can tell us what its like. I suspect its basically like a TJ D44, but we have no way to confirm that.
  23. Now that we got things cleared up, let me confuse the issue some more. Have we ever found anything substantial about the rumored D44 in the Venezuelan XJs?
  24. I'm pretty sure he has kept them operational, the airbag ECM is self contained and attaches to the dash harness.
  25. thats what she said.
