Picked up this 87 westy for parts today, paid $1150. Only one other person bid on it. NO ONE bid on it during the live auction, if the other person who put in a proxy bid of $1100 had not done so I might have gotten it for $50 :shock: oh well, can't look a gift horse in the mouth I suppose. http://ww4.klode.com/kws/napplications/ ... Exit=Close So now the plan is to find a good Syncro body(after doing the conversion on my Carat I'm not sure its worth the labor to do it on something other than a 4wd). And throw in a SVX motor after the westy conversion is done. Best thing is it has a clean title, so I might be able to find a cheaper syncro without a title! This is gonna be fun!

Ya I tried it, they still forgot to put any flavor in. So I'm drinking an Odells IPA. 7.8% ABV, a wonderful combination of hops, the Amarillo hops with the cascades really give it a wonderful flavor, without the nasty bitter taste reserved for most IPAs.

Got all the upper bed stuff installed today. Climbed on up and layed down. Its been quite awhile since I climbed up to sleep there. Easily ten years. Apparently I was much shorter then because it was a longer way down!

The thing is it looks super useful. I hate sedans. Sedans are so phucking useless. You can put some people in them, and some luggage in the trunk. Thats about it. This thing you can put people in. And haul a bunch of crap, or sleep in it, or transport a ton of.....whatever. Sure its not a big cargo van ala ford or sprinter, but its going to get a lot better mileage, easier to drive, and still have plenty of space. I wanna see one converted into a minicamper, sleep two people, drives two people, would be an excellent get the hell out of town and go camping car.
