  1. Never hear from the seller and the post has been deleted. All I wanted was the seats. 8(
  2. I traded email with the seller a while ago (2012?) and could never coordinate a time to go see the truck. It's as advertised ... at the "in laws" and not at the advertisers house, so it's tough to have everything come together. I'm traveling near the north shore tomorrow ... sent email, but haven't heard back.
  3. Gary, ZackCJ7 gets first right of refusal, but I'd be interested in the cluster if he passes. Has to be a mechanical speedo with the PRN0DL display under the fuel gauge.

  5. That was easy. Thanks for the info!
  6. Anyone know how to release the wiper arm from the shaft?
  7. As good a place as any I suppose ... Don't know what it's like at your zip code, but it could go up 30 degrees here and it would still be freezing (and windy and snowy). Live, Freeze and Die. That notwithstanding, when I left work tonight I lifted the wiper arms on my 01 XJ to clear to the frozen crust. When I released the passenger side wiper arm, the wiper blade didn't sit flat agaist the windshield. I thought it was frozen, and as I don't have a garage I stopped at a local do-it-yourself carwash to inspect it in the light and out of the wind. The arm just kinda flops. There's tension on spring, but only the ends of the wiper blade make contact. Which brings me to my question ... Anyone know how to release the wiper arm from the shaft? It's just too damn cold to be futzing with it out in the yard. As a side note ... it was so frickin' cold that only the passenger side squirter worked, so the ride home was no fun at all. ugh.
  8. If you have one, or can find one in your area and would be willing to ship it to me, please PM me with a $ figure. Thank you!
  9. I'm betting Cruiser is right.
  10. Hey, nice work. Really tasteful.
  11. Taillights and dash lights share the same fuse. Have you got dash lights?

    Seat Covers

$40/seat? Score! I guess miracles do happen.

    Seat Covers

"Inexpensive" is relative. Don't know what it cost to recover your bench (which came out really nice), but I was quoted over $700 to recover a pair of buckets to look stock ... Eliminator style buckets with the big, side bolsters. I don't have that kind of $.

    Seat Covers

Not exactly the snug fit pictured in the Quadratec. Still, they appear to fit better than the bench cover I wrote of earlier. What's your take on'em hornbrod? Are they worth the advertised $239? What do they look/fit like after a year of use?

    Seat Covers

Reviving this thread. jpdriver1 ... any updates on your endeavor into seat covers??? I've been in search of a replacement for the base of my XJ's driver seat. I also want to convert my MJ from bench to buckets. Picked up a pair of buckets from a CC member with plans to have them reupholstered. Didn't think it would cost a kidney, but that was the quote. Also, Anyone ever hear of/have experience with Wet Okole? They advertise in Quadratec and picture pretty much every Jeep seat design I've ever seen. I'm leary because I had to return (and pay the shipping) for a "custom fit" seat cover for the bench in my truck. HUGE disappointment.
  16. I know an OEM replacement won't be the cheapest way to go, but I'm striking out in the bone yards. Never heard of Katskin ... Did the google thing and looks like they only do leather.

  23. I've picked up several ebay items through them. Mostly plastics ... e.g.; signal lenses, headlight door ... etc. Fitment is "ok", but it's a fraction of the price of other sellers and the source is the same. China. If you have more time than money, you could buy a couple of them and change it out when it craps out. You'd still have saved $35 or $40. I have no idea what's invloved in changing the lever.
  24. Condolences Oyaji.
