Love the hood ornament. The truck is painted to match.
-
Thanks Jim ... I meant interior door panels/cards. On a separate note ... how do you embed pictures like that?
-
Looking for door panels from an XJ with the "country" (woodgrain) trim in gray. Someone must have a set with a pile of MJ taillights somewhere. :crossfingers:
-
Anyone have a source for OEM seat cover replacements? Mine has the typical cracking of the vinyl on the side of the seat. For the most part the interior is pristine, but open the driver's door and your view is drawn to that nasty seat. May as well be big as a house and painted orange, because it's hard to miss. I need the seat base for the driver's side, in Agate.

$13000 Comanche On Autotrader...
NHMJXJ replied to H3RESQ's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
There's another MJ that comes up on searches on Autotrader and Cars.com ... http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?tracktype=usedcc&csDlId=&csDgId=&listingId=45505882&listingRecNum=0&criteria=sf1Dir%3DDESC%26mkId%3D20021%26stkTyp%3DU%26mdId%3D20858%26rd%3D100000%26crSrtFlds%3DstkTypId-feedSegId-mkId-mdId%26zc%3D03109%26rn%3D0%26PMmt%3D1-1-0%26stkTypId%3D28881%26sf2Dir%3DASC%26sf1Nm%3Dprice%26sf2Nm%3Dmiles%26isDealerGrouping%3Dfalse%26rpp%3D50%26feedSegId%3D28705&aff=national&listType=1 Price? $15,777. Clearly, the "I don't really want to sell it, but if you're fool enough" price. This has been listed for at least 3 years. -
A Real Survivor ... Take A Look At This!
NHMJXJ replied to NHMJXJ's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
No doubt the truck is as I described it in the OP, a fine specimen and a real survivor. The community spoke. In truth, $6500 isn't unrealistic. Hope you get your number, and I hope whoever buys it appreciates it. -

I would have given ya $6500 until I saw those horrible scratches on the door. Deal breaker. :laughin: -
Of course there's only one part number. I was completely overthinking it because of the tapered shape of the housing. It's like the old joke about pulling a nail from a sack with the pointy end facing you, being for the other side of the house. Left handed screwdriver ...etc.

I'd bet $5699 won't even meet the reserve. -
Got it, thanks. Neglected to mention that these are unique. I need the driver's side.
-
While the seller wrote a novel, the pictures tell the whole story. I don't know what this guy paid for this fine specimen, but he was in the proverbial "right place at the right time". http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=271269501303&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en

Ahhh ... most excellent. Keep me posted.
-
Wow! Thanks for the quick reply! Think I'm gonna hold out in hopes someone here has one for cheap. $35 is silly considering the application. I found it amusing that the description includes the word "rear" ... ever see a Front plate light??? :???:
-
Greetings ... does anyone have a stock plate light, or pair they would part with? Just had the MJ in for state inspection and having one plate light won't cut it anymore. I have the stock bumper on my truck (which is in really good shape). One of the plate light housings is junk. I've looked through catalogs and online and the one they used isn't available any longer. GM has round ones, and neither Fey or Westin have the right size. The whole assembly with the spring clip would be good, but I only need the housing. AdTHANKSvance Tim

The seller gave up the reserve at $6500, which has been met. It's entirely likely we'll see this truck posted again, because the high bidder only has a rating of (3). I've see these auctions go south because a novice mistakenly makes a winning bid. Nice truck. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep-Comanche-Base-Standard-Cab-Pickup-2-Door-1988-jeep-comanche-base-standard-cab-pickup-2-door-4-0-/121159934650?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item1c35b1e2ba&vxp=mtr

1991 Mj 4.0 Auto W/ 4X4 (Nc)
NHMJXJ replied to kirk's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
$1500 is ALL the money. ~260K miles. You can add "front" bumper to the body parts needed. Drivers fender is wrinkled too, and who knows what happened to the headlight doors and directionals. All that's easier to find than a bumper and tailgate. More details, same pics, but bigger here >> http://www.carsforsale.com/used_cars_for_sale/1991_Jeep_Comanche_191346867_11 -

I was thinking many of the auction hits and watchers he mentions are CC members. Bids too? "Low Ball", but accurate? This is of course a rare vehicle ... just like mine ... and yours ... and yours and yours ... -
A museum piece.
-
The story always begins with something like; "Had plans to restore this, but ..." Sadly, another dreamer who paid too much for their MJ. It does appear to be mostly there, but they'll need to work on the price, or it's "the pole barn" for this buggy. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep-Comanche-Pioneer-Standard-Cab-Pickup-2-Door-1988-jeep-comanche-4-x-4-4-0-l-5-spd-swb-a-c-tilt-/121130011099?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item1c33e949db&vxp=mtr#v4-37

It's back! I've seen this posted on eBay and Craiglist in recent months. At nearly $7K I'm sure we'll see it again.

The right price is what it's worth "to you". Be ready and buy what you want when you find it. That said, realize you'll find the right truck after you buy the one you bought.
