Thanks ... quite the write up! My mod is just to provide clearance for a wider tire. "Measure twice, cut once."

You would have to cut down a wardrobe/clothing box ... they have to be at least 50 inches and they're pretty rugged too.
-
U-Haul ... they have it all.

Does anyone have a pic or pointer to a pic of notched 97-01 stock XJ front fender flares? I know I saved a pic for future reference ... bet it's in a safe place 'cause I can't find it.

All the money, but looks like a nice truck! https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/d/1990-jeep-comanche/6544557508.html

Ouch. Looks like they got both doors too.

So want. 1967 Jeep Commando ... best project ever.

No reserve auction too, so someone could score. I hope who ever gets it restores it. It's pre-72 so front clip is still handsome. -
Oh mannnn ... https://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-Jeep-Commando/202267141861?_trkparms=aid%3D777001%26algo%3DDISCO.FEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D50426%26meid%3Dd6e114e260a14f54bd72ea4b33553b80%26pid%3D100656%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26%26itm%3D202267141861&_trksid=p2481888.c100656.m5063&_trkparms=pageci%3A0f23d86b-3369-11e8-9a74-74dbd180d29f|parentrq%3A7275088e1620aa18ae625fecfffad818|iid%3A1

Had a good experience with Direct Express Auto Transport https://www.autotransportdirect.com/quote/?step=3. From request to delivery (door to door) took about 10 days and the total cost was $675. $175 deposit, cash or money order upon delivery to the driver. A little over 1000 miles, open trailer. Driver called the day before with an approximate arrival time. I was going to be at work, so he asked how much lead time and he called "on the mark". I would recommend this service. I should add that I chose the least expensive option ... more $ means quicker assignment of the vehicle and so, quicker delivery.

Three good nor'easters in the past month ... one brewing for this evening ... We'll see what pans out. Meanwhile, this was the lineup from the last one.

Ebay MJ sold for $11.5K
NHMJXJ replied to WahooSteeler's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
The auction ended with a winning bid of $11,500 ... the trick is to get paid. We'll see. -
Hope you fair well Don ... Scary stuff. You're in my thoughts and prayers. In as much as I have grown to loathe snow, I'll take it over tornados, landslides, fires, floods and earth quakes any day. New England isn't so bad in the grand scheme.

Totally newbie question, but ... Will 84-96 XJ front bumper bolt right up to an MJ?
-
I bet that was an e x p e n s I v e video.

Which bulb did you pick? Checked the website and they list a couple different packages for XJ's. Can't identify the right one for the MJ cab. http://www.onewaylight.com/leds-loose-bulk/

I have knock-off TruckLite type headlights by Eagle Lights in my XJ. Found them used on Craigslist and figured I'd give them a shot. I inquired if anyone had any comparison to the Truck Lites in a different thread. Crickets. For what it's worth, the Eagle Lights are a significant improvement over stock and 2/3's the cost of Truck Lites. I always used Silver Star Ultras in the past and the LED light blows them away. One difference of note is the LED light doesn't have the "fullness" the sealed beams have. I notice it more in rainy, night driving. I'm still mixed on this. I guess the best way I can explain "fullness" is that they light up "objects" rather than everything. Don't get me wrong ... you can see a country mile and the road is illuminated ... it's just a different view. I plan to put a set in the MJ. Would be interested in comparison with the Truck Lites because they seem to get really positive reviews. I've shopped around and always come back to ebay for the Eagle Lights >>> https://www.ebay.com/itm/Eagle-Lights-27450C-5-X-7-LED-Headlights-2-Lights-FREE-SHIPPING/172598408704?epid=574642592&hash=item282faab600:g:qLwAAOSw4PxZ~LRx&vxp=mtr

Interesting? Holy smokes! That's got it all over NASCAR. Catching air and three wheeling at high speed. Those drivers are adrenaline junkies for sure.

Truth. I used to do a lot of selling on eBay until they squashed the little guy. That was when it was a true auction site. I still look, but I haven't listed anything for sale in years.

Anyone know how Eagle Lights stack up against the genuine article TruckLite? I picked up a used pair of Eagle Lights that I found on Craigslist. They're plug & play and work pretty good in my XJ. New, they're $199 on eBay/Amazon which is slightly more than the "each" price of TruckLites. Just wondering if TuckLite performance is better and if so, is it that much better?

Did a search for JCR DIY and none were listed as 20% off, then I saw 20% off EVERYTHING $25 min purchase. I'm guessing that's retail sellers only. Still, 20% off is a bargain!

Thank you!
