  1. The XJ seats are plush and nice. However, it appears from the photo that they're from a 4-door, meaning they won't lean very far forward like the 2-door ones would. But if that's not important, I'd get the XJ seats. They look clean and for $150, they're the most affordable of all three options you posted.
  2. I do not, unfortunately. The block is still in the engine bay and harmonic balancer still attached to the crank. I know oil circulates into the timing chain area, but what I'm not sure of is how oil circulates through the rest of the block.
  3. No, the XJ is down for head work and possibly now a new block. I just discovered something on the block that I think is very bad. Started a new thread with pictures hoping someone here can help.
  4. Ah ok. Well, you'll be happy to know that I finally got around to cutting the C101 out of my XJ and soldering each wire together. I also did the sensor ground upgrade while I was there. Hopefully it'll be running better than ever.
  5. Well, I think I've hit yet another snag in the XJ. Had the head pulled three weeks ago for head work... guy discovered a fault in the casting, so another head is in the works. In the mean time, did a little snooping over the block. Found this hole in the front of the block, beside #1 cylinder. Hole goes right into where the timing chain area is. It's jagged looking and doesn't look to me like it's supposed to be there, but I don't really know the inside of these engines. Is this supposed to be there or is this block toasted? Please tell me that this block is not FUBARed... I've already had a hard enough with this engine mess...
  6. Cruiser, does this have anything to do with the elimination of that pesky C101 connector? My curious mind wishes to know. :)
  7. Since it's a 2.8, there is no computer since it's carb'd, so that negates that right off the bat. As for the rest, I'll let someone with 2.Hate experience chime in.
  8. As long as said XJ has a AX4 or AX5, or any Jeep with a 2.5L and AX4/5 combo, it should work. The NV3550 uses the same bell as the AX15, so that would be a no-go on fitment. Doesn't make a difference if it's an internal or external slave. It's just a dust shield.
  9. Nothing lol. My other thing is lack of time... I started a different job, so my schedule is all over the place. Plus I got some family issues that are taking priority at the moment.
  10. Damn dude, that really sucks. That F250 driver seems like a real d!ck. Glad you're okay though. The XJ should be repairable so long as the frame rails aren't bent, which doesn't appear to be the case from the pictures you took. If/when you get it back, remove all the obviously damaged stuff and take some more pictures. You're definitely going to need both fenders, header panel, A/C condensor, radiator, battery, fan clutch, etc.
  11. At the beach? Naw... everybody's s#%t is broke lol.
  12. I was thinking you meant that but then again, the 'Z' key is nowhere near the 'J' key so I wasn't sure lol. So what's so significant about the WJ PSP over the stock MJ/XJ ones?
  13. Anybody know anything about the Rubicon Express LA upgrade?
  14. As long as it's a 2.5L.
  15. Is gas mileage important to you? If not, go 35's lol.
  16. Here you go... not to scale but you get the idea.
  17. That's what I was thinking since it's an inline.
  18. Down, I believe. They're not supposed to be closed off.
  19. That is a strange design... I don't know how I feel about that.
  20. I've heard of it, yes. I've seen signs for it when I go to Atlantic Beach. I live in Clayton, so I can take US 70 the entire way there.
  21. Better flow. The Renix head intake ports sit lower than the HO heads. You can reuse your Renix intake manifold, but I can't remember if you have to use the Renix manifold gasket or the HO gasket... Just wait a bit, Cruiser will be see this thread and share his vast knowledge on the subject. Also, you could change over to the HO intake manifold while you're at it, get the best flow possible. Edit: I just noticed you're in North Carolina. Where in NC?
