  1. The console from the grand cherokee would be too wide to fit between your seats. The 97+ Cherokee console will fit with slight mods to the e-brake handle, but the 84-96 Cherokee console drops in with no mods at all. Just have to add a bracket for the rear of the console to the floor. Depending on the color you need, I have a gray one in excellent shape from an 88 Cherokee. Comes with bracket for the floor. Let me know if youre interested and I can show you pics of it.
  2. Do you still want one of these?
  3. Thats Ok. All the blue faced clusters do that. When you turn the key on, right before you start the engine, the tach should jump down to zero.
  4. Wow Pete if those wernt 250 bucks Id probably buy them. Ive been looking for that style seats for my XJ for a while. The bolstered seats are sooo comfortable.
  5. I just read the whole thread. This is my favorite built MJ on this board. Nice work.
  6. Wow Ive never seen someone so strongly opposed to a Renix. Other than the closed cooling system and the vac front axle, its got the same engine block, trans, tcase, and axles as a 91-01...
  7. Skibum I am jealous of your blue faced full cluster and your GXP. :D Nice list of vehicles. :USAflag:
  8. All base gauge clusters are blue faced, the full clusters after 1988 are red/black. They used the blue/white base gauges all the way through the 96 XJ.
  9. Wow Gary, didnt know you had pics of the new seats. Those things look to be in PERFECT shape! I may have to throw my seat covers in the washing machine too. They look brand new!
  10. Thank You. I think Ill shoot for the 2 gauge then, since I already replaced the braided strap with a 2 ga. wire.
  11. I want to get a new negative cable for my Jeep and the Oreilly website shows a 48 inch and a 53 inch. What size is our negative cable for the 4.0? Sorry I'm not near my Jeep to measure myself. Thanks.
  12. Well, Id love her rig too, so I don't blame her.
  13. You won't get contour with an XJ board either! The MJ board is curved in the back above the window.
  14. To keep you motivated to stay on that bike, you will have to sell me the Malibu SS. :D
  15. Looks so good man! can't wait to see the finished interior!
  16. Are those SS badges?? :huh???: Nice Jeep though!
  17. I got the entire front and rear CCV lines with both grommets, vac lines for the regulator and all EGR lines for 50 bucks at napa.
  18. If ANYONE knows where he and I can get NOS Jeep/AMC key blanks, let us know!! Ive been looking for the AMC/Jeep keys for years.
  19. Ive heard purple power is the best. Ive never tried it though.
  20. Great job with all the mods man! Nice and tasteful. Those blue faced full clusters are my favorite! :clapping:
  21. How is that possible? I thought rust was illegal in California... :???:
  22. I have that same mirror in my XJ. It came from a Tahoe I think. My dad got it from his work (GM) My mirror isnt wired because I have a overhead console. (Keep in mind I have an XJ) Question: What style and color seats are you using? If you are using the wingback buckets, are those comfortable compared to your black bucket base style seats? I want to swap to the wingback buckets in my XJ this summer and I am gathering input here and elsewhere as to whether the wingbacks are comfy. Everyone says they are but the more opinions the better. My base buckets are worn out, and it feels like I sit in a hammock. Springs and foam are shot. PS: since this is the best build ive ever seen, this thread has become part of my daily schedule. Wake up Go to school Come home Check the WILD build Go to work Check the Wild build again Go home Go to bed Rinse and repeat. :clapping:
  23. Ya it was for the injectors. Turns out the parts house had 13 rings for 8 bucks... And yes after I did it, it would be much easier to remove the rail and install the new rings on the bench. It was tough to get the new injectors on the rail when it was in the engine bay. It would have been easier on the bench.
  24. The dealership tried to charge me $17 for one single o-ring. Anyways, I did not disco the quick disco's, I left it all attached, and the rail had enough play to pop out the old injectors and put the new ones in.
  25. No, they are easy to find. The hard part is finding one in decent shape.
