  1. I'm not surprised by anything that happens in Philthydelphia. Hope they find it for you.
  2. Thanks. Of course half the problem is the B&^%#$^h won't even let him drive with her in the car. I told him that from now on when we( wife and daughter and I) come down on the weekend for dinner and such, I want him to drive to gain more experience. Live and Learn!

    Real Bad day.

So I buy an 88 XJ for my son(17) to drive to work and school when needed. He lives in De. with his mother and sister. I figured that for $400.00, I couldn't go wrong. Besides, if it died on him, it had a lot of parts I could strip for the MJ. Wouldn't ya know it( just my luck) he has an accident and pretty much wrecks the front axle, control arm, tie rods, ect. Between towing charges, storage, finding a shop down there, and having it towed again; I signed over the title in lieu of. But, the one thing I'm thankful for is that he wasn't hurt, no one else got hurt, and I hope he learned a valuable lesson in paying attention to the road. I can't replace it, so he's stuck depending on his mom, who isn't dependable hence buing the car in the first place. It just really bit the big one,we didn't even have it 2 weeks.
  4. Don't forget about the 25% increase in MPG. :laughin:
  5. he didnt choose his name! He chose not to change it! :D I think his given name was/is Barry. He started using the Africanized Barrack in college. :smart:
  6. Wish I'd have known about it too. Would have liked to check it out. 8)
  7. If you look very close at the front fender, I think it says Cherokee. Not very clear though. :hmm:
  8. Chrome for sure 8)
  9. A true comic genius, the like of which we shall never see again.
  10. If the truck was as well taken care of as it looks( former owner's pet), then I would agree with the $1500-$1800 range. As previously said the drawback with that year was the V6. Another factor to consider is how many miles does it have on it, and are they hiway cruising miles or rough stop and go miles. Anyway, it looks like a very nice mj, hope it finds a good home. :driving:
  11. Congrats to you and the new mom. I remember my son's birth like it was yesterday( he'll be 17 Mon.). Enjoy the times to come. :jump:

  20. I switched my 88 over a few months ago. The switches for the idiot lights won't hurt the guages, they just won't work. I had a problem finding the sending units at parts stores around here, but fortunately I was able to use the temp sender out of my 89 and found a usable oil press sender at the JY. Really though, you'd be best off with new.
