Among all the good stuff I read and learn here, there is always the " I gotta remember that in the future". Well ,as I sometimes suffer from CRS, is there a way to create a personal folder that I ( or any one for that matter) could stick a particular post or thread so as not to have to print them out( and then not remember where I put them) or spend all day doing a search? I'm not sure if it can be done, heck, I still shoot film with my Pentax K1000. Any ideas ?

I'm cool with that.

When I was stationed in Bamberg, FRG back in '86, AMC Military sales had an one on post. She was black, don't remember the interior color, but a really sharp looking truck. Talked to the sales guy over several weeks, but I didn't commit. Came home on leave that Sept. for 30 day and checked out the local dealership. Salesman there didn't seem real interested in selling me a truck, so when I went back, I told Scott( the sales rep) I was ready to buy. The 86 was sold( in hind sight, it was probably good as it had the V6) so I ordered an 87 for delivery when I got out. Chrysler bought AMC, new option( delete stripes) I added, Chrysler tried to raise price, so I told them to go pound sand. Apparently about 900 other military people told them the same thing, so they offered me a new 88 with everything I ordered on the 87, for what they wanted for the 87( about $600 more than my original quoted price). Said OK. That pushed back delivery until Aug. After I got home in May 87, I got a call from Chrysler saying the only standard color avail. was white. I thought " here we go again" :fs1: So the said the closest they the could get was the optional paint( Dark Baltic Blue) at $300 IIRC, but if that was alright with me, it'd be no charge. Fine , and I picked it up the end of Aug. in Philly. SWB 4.0 4x4 skid package full guages heavy-duty cooling no stripes tow hooks. Had a wreck in 97, bought my 89 in Feb.98. divorce final in Apr.99, moved to an Apt. Sep. 99 had to get rid of the 88. JY chopped the whole front( dash forward) for somebody who wrecked theirs. Hated to do it, but had no other option. But , the LCD clock, front grill, and a few other odds and ends live on( as well as parts from my departed 89) in my current 88 Pioneer.

To make a long story short, Geo, PC has a bug. Running in safe mode, several things don't work.

Was into HO for 25 + yrs, never built a layout though. Right now expanding my American Flyer layout at the new house. Hopefully Santa will bring a new PC so I can do some neat stuff( like be able to post pics).

I could get into firing a few TOWs off the bow.

I replaced the water pump on my 89 many years ago. It's no where near the oil pan, just used the supplied gasket and a little RTV. Never had a prob.

I have a 93 that I bought used. Had about 52k now 186k. 5.2 V8, AWD. Only major complaint is the elec system. wiring harnesses( especially to the doors) get brittle and break, which when you have power everything , is a problem. The security system gets flakey when they get older, sometimes have to relock it if it goes off, and go around to the pass side to unlock the doors. Can't complain about the mileage(18-20) running around, and they ride nice. One of these days I have to get off my FLA and sell mine.

Hey Brent, if it's not too late to add my two cents, I'd be interested in a hoodie this time. Grey/ red first choice, black/red second, black/tan third. Thanx, Shawn

Actually north of the Mason-Dixon line, but not too far away in South-central Pa.
-
I guess I'd be at the bottom of the region. I'm in south-central Pa., Amish country. I'm really more Mid-Atlantic, but that group disappeared of the board.
-
Pete, What happened to the Mid-Atlantic group? :hmm:

I know, sorry Pete. Things have been really gonzo since we got back. The computer is still @$$ed-up, only works in "safe mode", limits what I can do. A lot of functions and peripherals won't work. The wife and I are buying a house. We go to settlement 6/2.It has been very exasperating, all that money the banks got from the Fed, and the put you through the wringer. It's not like we're buying a half-million dollar McMansion. So, once we get moved, and I figure out how to fix the PC( or replace it) I'll try to get some pics up. Hope you , and everyone else of course, have a safe and happy holiday. And remember those who gave all. :USAflag: :Canadaflag:

I like it Pete. Tho , I'm not sure if Pa puts me in the "Northeast" or "Mid-Atlantic"? :hmm: I guess I could post in either. :waving:

That's some really cool stuff Pete. Don't see cars like that around here anymore. At least not in the JY's.
-
Man, that really stinks. Hope everybody is ok. I got rear ended last Sept.,fortunately no serious damage. I still have nightmares about me truck being wrecked now and then. Hope yours is not too badly messed up.
