I was on "Vacation" from TN visiting family, we actually spent a week in tahoe when i was there. I plan on moving back to Socal very soon. Just bustin' stones...after being in NorCal now about 9 years, I can't imagine how I lasted even one down in the Inland Empire... I'm sure there are nice area's (San Diego "area" was our second choice if we hadn't moved up here). I just like the NorCal vibe better now... SW2

I don't see that changing in the near term... I accepted a promotion (going from an individual contributor to managing 7 people working on Global IT Projects) at my work that is going to keep my pretty occupied for a while... Not sure that I will have the same level of "Free Time" to dedicate to the CC Forum and my MJ... I'll poke in every now and then, but can't "live" on here any more. SW2

Well, I got back last night... didn't do as much as we would have liked... I did get to 2 Red Sox games at Fenway... one with great tix vs. the Yankee's and then the extra innings game vs. the A's on Friday night (that we left in the 11th inning, so we didn't see them win). We did the Freedom Trail, saw Harvard, Went up in the Prudential tower up top, the Boston Commons, Had a Beer at Cheers (Bull&Finch)... Didn't get the Duck Tour in with the work schedule...Saw all the fancy shops and junk and found a couple decent places to eat (one Mexican place that was to DIE for)... NO SEAFOOD was consumed in any fashion... :D Was a good trip (a little long, 10 day)... Sure Glad to be home... East Coast folks are sure "different" than us left coasters over here... not saying good or bad (maybe a little of each), just "different"... SW2

Wow, "Vacation" in Riverside... that's kinda sad (I lived there for a long a$$ year, so I can say that)... A little Blingy on the rims, but the Body/Paint looks nice... SW2

Yah, I'd go for some FFL... Wade

Yah, I think I should be able to get a few one I get the rugrats to bed! I'm BLLime powered this evening, so should be good for a few hundred... (How many BLLimes do you suppose it takes to equal a daily serving of fruit?) :rotfl2: I'd have to say at least 12.... :laughin: :beerhead: Crap, I just finished the last one and I'm not quite to 12 yet... i do have some of my Wife's Apple Beer out in the Beer Fridge that should count too... Man that 5:30AM pick-up to the Airport (to Boston) is going to be awful rough... SW2

Tires. Yes. A tire thread.

I like my Mickey Thompson MTZ's I run on the TJ (33x12.5r15)... not inexpensive, but nice... I do more trails, rocks and light mud, light snow, but haven't found anything that it didn't do well... I planned on getting the MTZ 31x10.5r15's for the MJ once I decide to drop $600 on a new set of tires... Wade -
Dude, go see an eye DR... When I had my laser eye surgery (PRK and not Lasik, so they zapped the tops instead of cutting a flap), I had pain releif eye drops that worked really well... Sorry this happened to you! Don't like to see anyone get hurt...

Bucket Seat "Skins" - Can you Wash em?
SuperWade2 replied to SuperWade2's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
What?!! My wife and I have five vehicles and all but one are manual. She bought a new car back in '04 and had to special order the manual transmission. this is the first manual I've owned since High School (and I didn't really even want a 5 Spd)...The Wife had a manual in college so she knew how... To be fair, she did stall it when she was pulling away from the house, but she said that was the only stall... -
Thanks MO, I'll look at that... I think I have some of PinStripe Eraser left also I could try if that's the case... i was under the impression that the lower section was painted, but hadn't looked real close (as I still don't have the Fender off the truck yet...) SW2
-
Has anyone had any luck finding a good color matched spray... talking for a fairly small section...The lower flat black section of the XJ front Fender (under the trim) that I'm installing on the MJ once I figure out how to get it off (a couple badly stripped screws that I probably need to drill out). I know the color "match" is not going to be perfect, but something close and white will be better than a black section on an otherwise all white truck SW2

Bucket Seat "Skins" - Can you Wash em?
SuperWade2 replied to SuperWade2's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
No...the metal side piece is just floating around in the foam... I'm on the lookout at the local JY's for a 2 DR XJ Frame that I could swap with this one... It's OK, the Wife drove it to work today and said it was TON's better than the Bench seat and she could move it forward and actually reach the Clutch... SW2 -
I'm just sayin' if we want to hit 4000 tonight, I think we can...
-
I didn't... I tried some JBWeld and it didn't hold at all... I just stuck it back in the foam, and it's kind of floating in there... I sent an SOS to my 4x4Club to watch out for a 2 Dr XJ Drivers Seat at the local PnP's... figure I don't care about the cover since I know mine are OK and just want one with OK Frame and Foam...
-
Should we hit 4000 tonight?
