Wow... quite a winch you have there too... -
While I would have died (or been killed) within 20 minutes of being in the Military, I come from a military family and salute those that serve their country... Good luck to you young man... (man that makes me sound like the oldest 34 year old on the face of the planet) Wade

Can't help with the Beer, but Larry is from Nebraska originally, a huge HUSKER fan and I think owns one of the box suites at Memorial Stadium! GO BIG RED! Big Game vs. a very good Missouri team tonight...Bene 30 years since Missouri has one in Lincoln, and I hope to make it 31 (although not holding my breath)

I didn't make the map... pure Copy and paste from the Wikipedia... I think SoCal, or at least parts of it are as "Southwest" as anywhere in the country.... Anything North of Bakersfield is in no way Southwest... Wade

Picked-up the axles...let me know what you think
SuperWade2 replied to robfg67's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
At least your "research" popped up something other than XXX... Granted that pic is probably PG, but at least good to know you can find stuff other than Pr0n -

I got $35, just not $3500... the tranny in my Tahoe just dropped so there goes any "extra" Jeep Kaiser Ambulance money I got for a while... Wade well then what we got to do is take that 35$ to the horse track and bet on the horse that is ... wait a sec gambiling is illegal in cali , damn! Tell that to my sports book off one of those little Caribbean islands ;)

-
just down the road from me... if that were $1500 I'd go look at it... http://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/cto/864474184.html

I think there are people in Arizona/New Mexico that would disagree with you assessment of the South West... they sure aren't "West Coast" And having grown up in Nebraska... Kansas and Missouri (except maybe all the way south) will always be "Mid-West" in my book... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southwestern_United_States //I'm just sayin'

Resurrecting and old theads... Are those re-usable, or 1 per can kind of deal? I'm thinking about painting my TJ hard top and thought that might help... Wade

It looks like you have everything except for the wing nut that holds down the clip in your last picture and the clip that attaches to the metal piece protruding from the back panel that the handle snaps into. Team Cherokee has this handle clip: http://www.teamgrandwagoneer.com/cgi-bi ... k&catid=95 they also show a wing nut but it looks different than mine but it might work. DUDE, thanks so much... I totally bought one of those clips a while back from there and totally forgot about it (cause I had no idea where it went!)... I just dug it out of the drawer...now I just need to find the wing nut... it looks like someone screwed a bolt into the hole in mine. Maybe I can take that bolt (if the thread matches) to the HW store to try to find something that would work in place of the stock wing bolt/nut thing! Wade

Other than pics on here, I've never seen more than one at a time at any one place (mine)...I've passed a couple on the street, and one at a PnP one time, but NEVER EVER 3...

Was good... here are some pics posted by one of my club guys... I winched out a bunch of Yota Frame parts that someone has buried! http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=717897 My TJ still needs some work... The guys did Tank Trap after I left and there was some carnage (see link above). Wade

Park that next to the Yellow Skull Machine, and you'd have the start of a nice unique MJ collection...
-
So can I get it still? I had to find one here with one of the guys that had an extra... probably your best bet, other than a Junk Yard/Pick-n-Pull type deal... Wade
-
Got the pieces from Chico, and now have the Jack bungied down, but the "hooks" for the Crank on mine don't look like the ones pictured here or from the scan of the service manual... I'll get pics
-
Wow Pete... you are the COOLEST! I'm so Jealous...   Paint that bad boy yellow and cover it in Skulls with a big tail, THEN we might talk...
-
I need to tell him to strap one if his bad-boy full setups onto a trailer and bring it out with him since he's headed my way anyhow (probably headed to SoCal, but close enough for gov't work)
-
Since we are talking hypotheticals, if I wanted a new/rebuilt tranny to bolt onto the back of my new HESCO stroker and wanted to go to an AUTO, would I be better off just finding a rebuilt AW4, or are there other options that are "easy" bolt-ons... assuming I'm keeping my NP231
-
I was lucky enough to get my basic 4.5L stroker when they were right around $2K about four years ago. Even at $3500 their crate engines are still on backorder because they are the best. They actually did the R&D for Mopar on the 99+ intakes, and had them on factory experimental ZJs as early as 1996. Soon they are coming out with an alloy block, I saw the prototypes last week when I was down there. Combine that with the alloy head stroked out to 4.8L, DAYEM! Their labor costs have not gone up much; it's what they have to pay for the parts they don't manufacture themselves that's driving the costs up. LOL about your rug rats. Enjoy them and their simple pleasures while you can Wade; it's only going to get worse. :D Soon the'll be asking for $150 tennis shoes, $800 Prom dresses and new Mustangs. :wall: SO In your estimation, If I'm going to drop some change to do it, I might as well go big and get the best than worry about saving $1000 on something that might or might not be "super duper"... I'd buy them a Mustang Horse before I would a FORD Vehicle... Never have been or ever will be a FORD fan...
