  1. I was right!
  2. Been wondering about that too. Eventually told myself it was the number of people on the shoutbox page itself so it would stop eating me up inside...
  3. Looks like a decent truck, although the tranny thing is interesting. Could be as simple as a fluid change or... yeah. But 3k is a bit much for a truck of that age/mileage with a tranny that doesn't quite work.
  4. (page 429 in my engineering mechanics textbook)
  5. That. I'm not on facebook and do not intend to be. The people who use it complain about it enough.
  6. :yeah that: It's possible it'll end up hacked to pieces. Very many very clear pictures should work, too. Along with a diagram with precise measurements of every possible dimension you can think of.

I use imgur, and resize before I upload. I just opened up a free account so I could keep track of my uploads, but until a week ago I was unregistered.
  8. My dad's old chevy started doing that ths summer, but only with the left indicator light. We've been having issues with the indicator/wiper stalk, so i assumed that's what it was. Haven't done anything about it yet, but that's the first place I'd be looking. I'm pulling the steering wheel when I go home for Christmas to replace the key cylnder, so I figured I'd do the indicator switch/stalk while I'm at it.
  9. mm. Mine are only 1.5" outside. Guess they're not the same mounts.
  10. Am jealous of that rear bumper.
  11. What's the spacing between the tabs? I'm planning on pulling the round lights on the front of mine that don't work and look like they might be sitting in fog light mounts. I'd sell you them for shipping if they're the right size. Edit::wait... shipping from Canada... might be a better deal to find them a little more local.
  12. Fuel tank... you can only do so much to improve your mpg's when you're dumping fuel on the ground... That's at the top of all my Christmas lists...
  13. I haven't seen it personally with control arms, but it makes sense if your control arms are moving back and forth for a significant period of time, you're likely to see something ovaling out. It's been a pretty common occurrence for it to happen in all sorts of places on the FSAE cars I've been working on for the last couple months. Mostly it happened with our a-arm bolts, because the half-shafts were broken are re-welded in the pit at last year's competition, so they're not balanced, and that lead to the a-arms wobbling around, which ovaled out their mounts, which made the wobble worse. No one thought anything of it until an a-arm sheared its bolts and the car hit the ground. Hard. We also had issues with the rear tie-rods and the aluminum sprocket.
  14. You need to use the url of the picture itself. Usually you can get that by right clicking on the pic where it's posted somewhere else (like on the flickr page. Some hosts will also provide you with the links, but I've never used Flickr so I can't help you with that. I do know that when I click on your link, and then right click your photo, it gives me size options. I choose one, and it takes me to a page with the resized pic, and I can right click on the picture there and get the image address.
  15. Maybe it's just an optical illusion from the camera angle and the angle on the ends, but the tips with the holes in them don't look quite parallel to each other? What I'm thinking is the end should look something like this: -<= but the = opens up, instead of staying parallel. Even if that's the case, I still could be very wrong, don't know what they're supposed to look like. I'd expect there should be some kind of spacer in there anyway. Maybe throw in some washers temporarily? I don't see that being too great for the longevity of the bolts...
  16. I'm finding out that it's not as hard as expected. I witnessed an entire ls1 swap into a 60's Dodge truck in the parking lot at my school in Oshawa, in full view of the main entrance and office of my res building, including complete removal of the ls1 from the trashed 'vette. Just gotta find a time when no one's around who gives a flying intercourse.
  17. Mine does... what browser?
  18. +1 on the tint. I've burnt myself through untinted sunroofs. But seriously, you guys from the South shouldn't be allowed to show pix of your $500 rigs... I'm jealous about the lack of rust. Seriously jealous. That truck looks more solid than mine, and I paid five times that. :ack: All in all I'd say that's a pretty decent starting point! She'll clean up nicely!
  19. and then put the url of the picture in the provided box.
  20. Just out of curiosity, would there be any negative effects to going an inch longer?
  21. Well, new plugs & wires are in, and she's running a hell of a lot smoother. Barely any of the center electrode was left on the plugs, so they've definitely been in there a while... There wasn't too much build up on them, though. Also put in a new serpentine belt... got sick of the squeak. I'd gotten so used to it that now it's weird it's not there...
  22. He seems bored as hell... But Red Jacket on a JK8? Badass!
  23. I'm running Opera and I occasionally have trouble loading some of the pictures on older threads, but not with the newer ones. I just assume because the pix are old they've been "unhosted" or something.
  24. You didn't stop to pick up your free turkey dinner?
  25. Relisted, asking $9500 now, starting bid at $7200. Still no takers.
