  1. OK OK... don't be so pushy!! :D Lets see... 1)The Auto tranny itself. 1a)If AW4 computer for AW4. 2)Linkages for shifting. 3)Shifter itself. 4)Radiator for Auto tranny. 5)Tranny lines to connect tranny to new radiator. If I where gonna do this, i would PU a junker XJ and swap over all needed parts. good luck, CW
  2. SPIKE IT!! Looks GREAT from Connecticut!! Really "completes" the look. Roll bars on LWB's really deceive the eye. They shorten the long look of the LWB MJ. I like it!! CW
  3. :D :D  :brows: ME TOO!!!!! Too funny!!!
  4. (In response to a PM from ridergoatee) Looks like your rear leafs are softer than your front coils. Even though your front tire is up all your flex is happening in the rear. That's why I thought you had the front sway-bar attached. That's how it would look, if you did. I don't think its a problem, more of an observation. Here is those pics I mentioned: Here is a shot of my buddies sami: See how the DS is stuffed up in the wheel well whale to hood is fairly level? If you look at yours, your hardly moving the PS tire and the hood is beginning to lean off level. Here is my TJ. Same scenario: Image Not Found CW CW
  5. Ford 4.6L from Blhtaz on here!! 100bucks or so. http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopi ... +injectors Yes, they have more holes and better atomize the fuel so you get better, more complete burn. CW
  6. Looks great I LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope the front sway bar was still attached in that "flex" shot. Otherwise you installed blocks instead of springs up front!! :D :brows: ;) CW
  7. Yup they are..i have a set of 5.0 injectors in mine...they have a better spray pattern than the stock renix ones so it atomizes the fuel better and you get a slight increase in MPG and throttle response...just make sure they are the 19lb/hr ones
  8. Unless your trailering something...you can't. CW
  9. Dude, This is some tough luck. Sorry to read it, glad everyone is fine!! Remember, repairs are a GREAT TIME TO UPGRADE!!! :brows: :brows: Build it tough so the next poor bastard gets all the damage!!! CW
  10. I would say it will be too wide. You need to be looking at small trucks for donor seats. UPDATE: I installed the FORD injectors today!! Idles REALLY NICE!!!! Will post up fuel economy differences if any later. Only problem was a broken air/vac line. I was careful as I know these things are mighty brittle. But when re-installing the fuel rail I bumped the MAP line where it enters the TB and snapped it off flush. Easy fix really. I removed the rubber piece it mounts with. Drove out the broken piece and swapped ends with the remaining hose. I did this to get another 90degree bend coming out of the TB. Up at the firewall I was able to push on the rubber piece with out the bend. There was even enough slack!! WOW Something actually went my way for a change!!! I also broke a Lil clip on the Tb but that shouldn't cause any problems. I put everything back together with dielectric grease for good measure. CW
  11. I finally threw mine in today. Went well until I snapped off one of the hard vac lines... REMEMBER THEY GET BRITTLE WITH AGE!!! It was a easy fix as it broke where it enters the TB. I removed the socket and broken hose. There was enough slack by simply swapping ends and re inserting. Idles WAY smoother. Seems to tach up a tad faster as well. Just filled up Fri so I will CK fuel numbers over the next two weeks. CW
  12. Did ya get it in? CW

    New guy

Glad you found us!! I salute your 17years of service!! I owe you a debt of gratitude that I could never pay. Happy to offer any help I can in your buildup!! CW
  14. I say either eliminate the lights form the hoop or go big. The ones on top look OK. My personal preference is larger lights on a roll bar. Those little ones look "too cute" and that's not mean as a compliment. ;) BTW, overall the truck looks GREAT!! CW
  15. Rice Rockets, good idea. Looks like another trip to junkyard. Any particular vehicles come to mind? So far as the MJ base, it sounds like we are retrofitting the existing bench riser/mounting plate after removing it from the bench. Correct? If so I like the idea, it eliminates looking for XJ straight brackets or MJ bucket brackets. It also would allow us to even purchase some racing seats if we go that direction. Depends on what you like.. Personally, I'd look for anything "sporty". Toyota Supra, 260, 280, 300, ZX etc.
  16. One suggestion, Stay away from "full sized" vehicles in your search. Look at vehicles with similar widths to out Comanches. Some of the sporty rice rockets have some nice supportive seats!! Bolt some wide steel across the factory MJ bases. The seat s them selves will give the front to rear support. more can be added if you feel it necessary. This way you just drill that steel to the hole orientation from the new seats and bolt'em up!! CW
  17. Thought they where the same..... Maybe yours is bent? One thing I will ad is many aftermarket exhausts have a two piece header pipe and this cuts down the room available at a critical area for room. Right at the front yoke. Believe it or not, a small lift 2-3" can actually make that worse not better. I had that issue with the last XJ I lifted. I was able to loosen everything, tweak it out of the way. Hold and re-tighten. Good luck, CW

    shooting

They are for the guy who doesn't care to much for the barrel of his shotgun..... :D Shooting sports are a load of fun, Just be safe and remember the rules!!! Treat every gun as if it where loaded. Keep you finger off the trigger until your ready to shoot. Don't point it at anything you don't intend to destroy. Above all, remember, mistakes happen every day. Usually when they involve a firearm they become a tragedy. Don't let that happen just because you didn't heed these common sense rules. Sorry for the lil' lecture. I know allot of you guys are still young. Frankly, I have likely been a firearms instructor for a quite some time. CW
  19. IIRC, yes it will. Throw a tape on a couple of the bolts if your worried. CW
  20. Shock mounts are also different XJ to MJ . They are even different between MJ long and short beds. (Although the actual mount is just installed reversed.) Can you make them work? With a welder and cut-off wheel, absolutely. CW
  21. With both rear tires off the ground and tranny in neutral. As long as there is some grip left in it, both tires will spin in the same direction, when turned. OR as suggested, pull pan and have a look. If you don't know what your looking at snap a pic and post it, we will tell you what you got!!!! Unsure why the difficulty with the dealer... They should be able to get the info as to what was on that vehicle when it left the factory. Directly from the vin number or so I thought..... If you get on it a bit in a turn, does the OUTSIDE tire chirp? If you where to, cramp the wheel and stomp the gas pedal, the inside wheel would likely break loose with an open diff. If that same vehicle had a LS you should also be able to get the OUTSIDE tire to spin as well. CW
  22. Agreed, just never cared for it. CW
