Dude, ever hear of a little thing called tread lightly??? I know pics and videos don't generally show what an obstacle really is like, but that didn't even look 4WD worthy. I don't mean to be dissing you, I really don't. If we want to be able to continue this sport of trail riding, we all need to start thinking about more responsible driving. Back on topic, the CB isn't too awful for a while, after a year of so they begin to bark a bit more. My advice is a cheap turbo muffler. You get a bit more lo-end torque and still a fairly deep rumble. CW

You might feel this is enough. It absolutely SHOULD be as long as they are done correctly and are making a good ground. Pull a couple off and be sure there is nice clean metal between the strap and vehicle. Then add some dielectric grease!! When diagnosing a problem, look at/for the clues. Always remember, new doesn't always mean right or fixed. While edundancy can be a good thing, something else to remember is. If someone does something wrong a thousand times its still done wrong. Get it?? Here is one I like.. "I done cut that board three times and its STILL short!!"  :D Good luck, CW -

We cannot buy any alcohol here in Connecticut on Sundays. Not really a big deal as long as you have an extra fridge as we do! BE PREPAIRED and keep that thing stocked!! You never know when you may run into a fellow C.C. member!!!  CW -

Being in Norway I don't know if this applies... I would just go to the junk yard. Maybe one of these guys could grab one for you when they go and ship to you there?? I would do this, but I don't generally go to the JY anymore... CW -

The round one looks more like the light for the power/comfort switch. CW -
I pulled the tires and rims for cleaning and getting new tires. Two on the m where really bad...one wouldn't hold air and both had major belts showing. Got the car level and up on 4 jack stands for the next couple "issues. Tires, exhaust and brakes. I got the rims removed, cleaned and dried off. Then shot them with a coat of graphite color rim paint I had left over from that set of Limited rims I painted two winters ago. Boy did they come out nice!! I mean I didn't really try to get them super prepped for paint, but they look new!!! My local Pep Boys had a buy three get one free tire sale going on. I actually found a set in my size for $19.99!! Got all four mounted, balanced and ready to roll this afternoon. MAN are they TINY!!!!  I did all this while Riley was chillin... Image Not Found CW

Up until last week I could still find some below 4$. Now everyone here is at or over 4$. I just saw one station with balls enough to be charging $4.59 for 87 octane!!! :headpop: I have also been making a conscious effort NOT TO support any oil company who uses foreign oil. I haven't bought Citgo in years and for about the past year stayed away from Mobil as well. From what I have read, Sunoco and Hess use US/NON middle east oil in there gasoline. CW

I'm not 100% but I think the motor is the same as a ford probes. Its a 1.6L single overhead cam 4CYL. I cleaned the engine compartment, changed the fluids and did a tune up on her today... The old plug wires FELL APART!!!! Now it runs really nice, I don't think it even turns completely over before its running!!! Sunday I am going to tackle a nasty exhaust leak form the front header collector!! Also give the rims a new coat of silver paint and get some new tires!!! CW

Well I picked her up tonight... Needs an exhaust, CV shafts, a temp switch for the fan and Tires. Already put in a new battery. It drove OK on the trip home, many little things to do like bulbs and a good cleaning inside. But I am pleasantly surprised by the room for driver and passenger. CW

I have always liked your rig, this just makes it better!! GOOD JOB!! CW

How about a new fuel filter and some good injector cleaner... like maybe a healthy shot of SEAFOAM? Check the plugs, cap and rotor as well!! ;) CW -
Yes I believe we are speaking of the same place. As of 1996 yes it was still open to wheeling as long as you contacted the ranger beforehand. and where part of a group. No rouge wheeling allowed. OK roger that on the shock compression side. So that's not your issue as there is plenty there to compress. I am still saying its just a matter of softer leafs out back. CW

I think there is something for that in your preferences under control panel... I was just there today fiddling with this on mine.. It was slower than hell.... Try that, I think you can turn on or off showing pics in forums and the like.. I'm no computer guy.. I know just enough to get myself in trouble..but like I said, I just saw this on mine a couple hours ago. CW

What do you mean by "shaft reveal"? What I see is just a soft leaf sprung truck. 18" isnt tat high to force compression. The rear is likely near the stops and has "given" as much as it can. Here is a shot of my MJ back when it was on 31's and about 3" of lift. this was a wash where oposite corners forced compression. I had to push a couple stock Wranglersand two land rovers thru this. The MJ ate it up like a strol in the park. Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Here is the stuck disco.. Notice the PS tire hanging in mid air.... Any one thinking of getting a beater GAS MISER??? I am... as a matter of fact I'm picking it up later this week.. Its a Mazda 323 2dr hatch back...PO got about 30MPG when he took it off the road. It needs a few things, exhaust, 2 tires and little odds and ends. All told I will be into it for less than $800. That includes reg and a tank of fuel!! I'll post up a couple pics once I get it, if anyone is intrested... The MJ is not so good since lifting... 12-15 MPG around town. Far cry form the mid 20's MPG it got with 30" tire's and a easy driving style. CW

Anything is possible, I mean, with enough effort anything could be made to work. These would not be my first choice for a donor vehicle ... CW

Maybe not perfectly level...but definitely the appearance of being level. You can see there is no sway bar on his rig by the last pic. I would say the front springs are just stiffer or of a higher spring rate than your rear leafs. Is it a problem, no, not really I mean its not a dedicated off road rig is it? CW

WOW,, See what I mean!!!      Just read Twistys comment of 2 LWB bars and must have stuck in my head... My bad, GOOD catch!! CW
