  1. Yup, That about covers it!! Many of us including myself have completed this swap and there are many writups on it. CW
  2. Does it blow intermittently when you turn the wheel? If so the plates are worn inside the wheel/column. Mine are too, haven't gotten around to swapping in new ones either... CW
  3. Yup, Jeepco is spot on correct. No big deal, just likely not what you expected. I've done it both ways. One time I had a really stubborn one that necessitated my removing the carrier to get it out. Image Not Found Image Not Found CW
  4. I voted NO. First off I LOVE the concept!! I also love the multiple pics!! Its just the side by side layout of those pics. It necessitates scrolling to the right to view. (17" monitor) I see two choics. Smaller pics (No one likes the really small ones) OR and IMHO the better idea, stay large maybe even a tad bigger but one line per pic so the remain stacked. Better chance of not needed to scroll sideways. The extras also look good!! Although, fav Beer is a nice idea!! CW
  5. Like anything else talk to enough people you will hear it all. Listen to enough of them you'll find someone who agrees with you. Best advice I have herd and passed on is Don't put any money into one. Money is better spent on a stronger replacement. CW (Yes, I too have broken them. :D )
  6. I thought on this for a while... I even went so far as to aquire a set... But decided against it. I lifted the rear of the hood instead. ;) Anyone thought on Buick style vents thru the front fenders?? CW

  9. When mine went it was getting louder and louder.. finally one day it was nice and quiet... and mj no start!! :D Replace that pump!! CW
  10. Do your self a favor and take some free advice. From a guy who has been there done that. If you like your music, don't buy crap speakers. Buy a cheaper head unit and spend the cash on the speakers!!! CW
  11. Manifold... best bet for removal is to hit it with an impact hammer. You will have them puppies out in a snap!!! Don't waste your time with the studs.. Just throw in a good nut and bolt and then check that about two tank fulls later. After that it will out live you or the jeep!! :D CW
  12. Its a proven fact that storing excessive amounts of any fruity beer in a fridge limits its life expectancy to ten years... Gee-sh... I thought EVERYONE knew that...  ;) Get a new fridge, Have a "Bring a Case a Beer" party and invite your Comanche Club buds over!! :brows: :brows: Its a win/win, your fridge gets filled with beer, your buddies get to enjoy it. Its ALL GOOD!! CW won't be filled long if you go!!!! lol :rotfl2: A mans got to carry his weight. :D   Just doin' my share!! :D  ;) CW

  15. I run it exclusively in my TJ, everything that gets lube gets Royal Purple. Nice stuff, cannot say for sure it makes any difference, but its supposed to be good stuff. Just remembered, I don't run it in the ECTED, its not recommended and will void there warranty... If you remember all the problems I have had with the ECTED in the MJ. I don't take any chances... CW
  16. As far as I am conserned, I wouldn't run on the road without them, it is not smart. But Its your life, do with it as you will... Back on tpoic... I once cut a factory set and sleeved it with a piece of steel tubing and re-welded it back together. You could do it just that easy. If you don't have access to a welder, I'll be happy to make you up a set. Send me the measurements and the factory discos, I'll get the tubing and weld them up 4U. CW
  17. DUPLICATE post...
  18. 21. As soon as I hear someone say the have experienced DW... I look for the words "LIFT " to follow. As soon as you see that and read that the DW didn't ever occur before the lift and nothing else has changed... I think CASTER/ALLIGNMENT!!!!! The "CAUSE" and the "CURE" CAN be to separate and distinct issues. That's the BIGGEST reason this whole DW thing is shrouded in such a cloud of misunderstanding. As has been said over and over DW has many aspects that can contribute. CW
  22. Its slightly different for different trannys.. The ax5/15 just unbolt form the top when you remove the boot you will see. Its been a while since I looked at a BA10..... CW
  23. Remove the lower hose..... CW
  24. Just have someone else get behind the wheel. You stay out front and underneath where you can see whats happening with your track bar. Now have them agressively turn the wheel left and then right. Jeep running or not won't matter much. watch the track bar ends in both turning directions. There should be no movement at the frame end and very minimal at the axle end, If thre is movementm it needs replacement as nothing is servicable on a stock TB. CW
  25. Didn't you recently relocate? Your body slowly builds immunity to certain things and allergens are something your body grows accustomed to in the area you live. that's why an excessively dry or wet spring will reek havoc on people. Because it allows different things to happen your body isn't accustomed to. One other thing is that your body is constantly changing. I battled spring time/early summer allergies since mid hi school days. Now for the past 2-3 years NOTHING!! I haven't had to take anything!!! I used to like the 24 hour one.. sorry cannot remember the name. Good ole' benadryl is a good one buy it knocks many people out. That's another thing... I used to be able to take is with only good effects. I mean no allergy symptoms and I could still work and do everything fine. Now if I where to take one, half hour later I'd be out cold on the couch!! I took one one time when I was driving a truck and had to pull over at a stop, I couldn't keep my eyes open. I woke up about 4 hours later!!! Good luck, I feel for ya brother!! CW
