  1. I think the last 3 posts demonstrate what Don was hoping to accomplish, i.e. that this not be re-hashed by the various opinions for the 100th time and that it's at the point Pat and the other parties just need to handle it in private. Certainly if it gets cleared up I think the forum has the right to know that it's done, but I agree with Don that for the best interest of the parties involved they should communicate privately. Anyone who posted in this thread voiced their opinion already, and there is nothing we can do to affect this transaction, so leave it at that.
  2. Darren, you're retarded. :fool: It's a killer rig and you should never sell it. Get a cheap XJ or even a Honda sedan or whatever your flavor of kidmobile is. It will be harder to get another project once your bambino arrives, time and money will be reduced for sure. The worst thing that happens is it sits some more over the next few years, but at least you'll have it and get to drive it for quick runs to the store or the occasional "man time" you'll get with your boys. And, if a wheeling opportunity does come up, well, there it sits waiting to go.
  3. Wow! That body looks super clean. I love how you can throw a set of Canyons on and "poof", it looks 10 times better than it already did. Welcome, and keep us posted.
  4. I'm like you, I don't like that much rake, and as Hornbrod said, do what you want. That being said, I think the original Turbine wheels seen in your avatar look waaay better than the old GC wheels. JMO.
  5. So to clarify then Don, do you have anything else on your rear suspension providing a lift effect? i.e. Shackles, AAL, etc., because if I am correct, you are not. That being said, hypothetically if the truck were new with 980# springs and no cap on it, you have added 3" of lift up front, and maybe an 1" +/- in the back by the max capacity 3+2 spring packs.
  6. Or a few hundred :wavey: Meh, you're probably right. But we're still tired of it. I'll just take my own advice.....and ignore it. :chillin:
  7. That there be my point.
  8. yeah, and the question is, why? why is this being handled on the CC? this was an outside transaction, and should be handled by the RETAILER and the customer. this is not an ebay type transaction, or a member to member private transaction. PM M.O. or call them on the phone. i'm not necessarily trying to defend M.O., but we're talking about an international shipment here and is not something M.O. was advertising in the classifieds on CC. regardless of opinions of M.O. and/or their "marketing" practices on here, this should not, in fairness to M.O., be hashed out on CC. just my nickel's worth of opinion.
  9. Whatever happened to that mobile home with the killer garage? Still available?
  10. Damn right you did!
  11. sell the first one on ebay as an elephant head. :brows:
  12. i've got no business considering this, but it's only about 2.5hrs away and i'm actually giving it some thought. my biggest dilemma is where to put it with no room in my driveway. :dunno:
  13. Don, I took my tailgate cover off, PM me.
  14. I have that factory mat and tailgate cover, came with the truck when I bought it.
  15. I wouldn't count on it. Opening game tix are VERY hard to come by, especially after winning #6! Where are you staying? Lots of great places to recommend but kind of depends where you are staying. It can be a little difficult to get around Da Burgh. As the saying goes there, "you can't get there from here".
  16. this has been done by a couple of guys on here for the "one key" setup, i can't remember who though. actually, i think jeepcomj did, but, um, he's on "sabbatical" for awhile. :dunno:
  17. You ride moto Wahoo? I did. Too busy with the youngins and too much hanging over the belt to do it right now. I'd still like to race the "old man" class sometime in the not too distant future, a little less crazy than the "go fast" class(es) I raced in my 20s. My son just turned 8 and that's how old I was when I got my first bike. My parents still live on the same 50 acres, so I may have to get Reed his first one by next summer. Of course, I can't just stand there in the field and watch him ride all day, ya know? :brows: Yup, grew up on 'em and then too busy with girls and sports in high school but got back in to it after college and started racing. Raced a lot for about 8yrs and then "life" took over. But I've got a pin in my right hip and memories of broken ribs and a punctured lung (at Budds Creek!) to remind me of the carefree days. Passionate about MX/SX for sure.
  18. sounds like yo need to update your sig-line then! LOL, i thought the same thing this past weekend!
  19. wouldn't matter if you painted the whole thing would it? i mean, probably pretty close. hell, buy a spray can of it for $15? and try it on some other sheet metal.
  20. rolled past 214,600 this past weekend on a 320+ mile roundtrip to Budds Creek, MD for the Pro National Motocross races.
  21. http://www.automotivetouchup.com/choose ... l=Comanche   My best friend from high school got a Scrambler back in @1991, it was an 83?, Laredo, full factory gauges including clock and tach, factory air, EVERYTHING. Sitting in the back yard of some middle aged couple that another friend of ours spotted one day. My buddy bought it for $2200. Still had it until he ran into a ditch and bent the frame about 4yrs ago w/about 160k on it, near zero rust and ran great. Wade, I'll give you $1300 for it, that way you make $100! :brows:
  22. usually bottom left corner
  23. TNT, 89Eliminator.....a little help? :dunno:
  24. What's scary, and somewhat insulting, is that the same excuses keep getting used over and over. :shake:
  25. Ahhh! Pedros! There's something about that dump that I just love. Almost every time I drive by I have to stop. It's just such a piece of Americana! It will be a truly sad day if it ever closes. So Rich, did you make it up for MJeff's move? Is that what this picture is from?
