B-pillar light alternative...
WahooSteeler replied to JeffK's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That's not a problem as these bulbs are readily available with LEDs. Hornbrod, got a part # and place to buy those LED bulbs for these lights? -

looks like you can buy direct from Euramtec, you just have to register for an account. Not sure what the pricing is, haven't signed up yet. -

Enough to make a grown Jeep lover cry.......
WahooSteeler replied to WahooSteeler's topic in The Pub
That's a $3500 MJ with a good running drivetrain. I assume the engine was shot since the tranny was sold. If you add up the parts he has sold and the other prices, he's only in the $1500 range. And look what he let the tail lights go for?! $20!! They probably could have swapped in another 4.0 from something in the yard and gotten a heck of a lot more for a truck in that nice of shape. Really friggin upsetting the more I think about it.......... :fs1: I thought maybe CFC too, it's gotta be, especially at those prices. Now I'm more pissed at the PO. -
you won't believe the physical condition of this MJ getting parted out. :wall:  http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/pts/1596316004.html

Hornbrod what battery?

C-dub, since we have 20" of snow on the ground again, I haven't bothered to get under it and measure anything. I'll say this, I don't think it's as pronounced as before. The pics I posted were after it was taken off the lift and driven maybe 50ft and parked. Maybe it "settled in" a little after I've driven it, but, it's still there.

Hornbrod what battery?
WahooSteeler replied to chicofuentes0224's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
:peek: Friggin Laslo just came up out of the boiler room and stepped out of the closet, like he's never been gone, and just non-chalantly posts up "Hey Hornbrod, what battery should I use again?" :dunce: Chico, you crazy mutha effer!! We oughta all beat the crap out of you LOL! Where you been bro?! :fool: -
Will these tires fit stock 88 mj wheels?
WahooSteeler replied to satyr36's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I noticed those Goodyears while in a Wal-Mart recently. Pretty damn good looking tire IMO. Love the sidewalls. Satyr, fyi, your wheels are 15x7, not sure if anybody clarified that after LNF posted his pics. -
I was gonna post the same thing last night LOL, fell asleep with the Edelbrock spec sheet on my screen. Knever, a lot of guys bought these shocks when they went on sale and have been very happy with them. If you want to consider these, look over the spec sheet and find the model # of the various units that fit the length you need. Best thing to do then is to call Edelbrock and see which ones they have in stock, because as Jim pointed out they have eliminated a lot of the models available. If they have a particular model in stock, make sure to ask what it's intended application was. The reason they had so many different models was that they were, according to Edelbrock, valved accordingly to each vehicle, or at least certain groups of vehicles, i.e. full size trucks vs. mid-size trucks. Point being, you might find a model # with the right lengths but it may have been intended for an F250 or something and produce a pretty harsh ride for you. Because they don't have MJ specific spec'd shocks, for my rears I got the Toyota T100 4wd models. I checked the weight of a T100 and it was real close to an MJ so that's what I went with. Jim, fyi, I opened the PDF on the 2010 catalog and they still sell the shocks, but it's a much more limited application. I think before they were trying to have a model for anything and everything and now they've cut it back to what was selling the most and the mainstream vehicles. I still have not installed my fronts (same model as XJ 3" lift models) but the rears have been great. Here's the spec sheet link, again, many of these models have been discontinued so you'll need to call. http://edelbrock.com/automotive_new/mis ... l_2008.pdf

they look russian, and those wheels/tires looked no more than 12"!!

I'll have to find the article I read in my office. I certainly didn't think they only had operations in America, and I posted without thinking about what I was saying. That being said, what I DO remember is that they are the two largest buyers of American oil, and I believe by a substantial margin. Point being, reason enough to try to buy your fuel there. Around here Hess is usually the price leader too.

WahooSteeler replied to runner6's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
I chatted up with Joe when I thought I might want #3. Just not possible at this time for me. Seems like a good guy, could be a nice deal for somebody. Here's the pics he sent me.... -
niiiiice....

:shake: And the same could be said by what you did with the 3800, now couldn't it?? At least he's using Jeep parts. Do you ever have anything positive to say? Tell you what, why don't you post up "Pat's Rules of Jeep Ownership" so we can all be sure to abide by them.

A friend sent me this link today of some guy with a huge model car collection. This guy is unbelievable. All of the pictures are of model cars and model backdrops and/or real backdrops but positioned so the scale makes you think no way it's fake. With his excellent photography he makes it look real. Enjoy! http://www.flickr.com/photos/24796741@N ... 2338/show/
