  1. If it's the one listed in PA, which according to the VIN it is, something seems fishy about it. $5k + under book for retail. Not sure what your situation is, but I think if your that close to paying yours off, I'd work with the bank to refi or something till you get stable again. One thing to consider on that Audi, is one trip to the mechanic will be an arm and a leg. Hope it all works out for you. Meh, I know Audi's are expensive to maintain, but it's more about how often you have to swallow a large repair bill. That being said, Audi's are pretty often. My current car is German and can be expensive to maintain/repair, but, knock on wood, has required minimal unscheduled maintenance so far, and the simple fact is I love it to death. I just spent the past 30mins researching Audi's reliability issues again, and it ain't pretty on the early 2000s A4s. I acutally would be worse off right now if I got hit with an unexpected large bill as opposed to my current payment for the next 16mos. I guess what makes me keep considering an A4 is that we owned an 01-02 Passat w/1.8T and had zero problems for 4yrs/44k miles. Blast to drive and great mileage. Add in the Quattro of an A4 and cheap (relatively) chip and performance upgrades, it becomes very enticing. But I suppose we got rid of the Passat before typical problems kicked in. This A4 only has 65k on it. Oh well, I know I'll be happier in the long run if I can keep my car anyway. :chillin:
  2. Email sent. You da man!
  3. things are getting super tight, and i might have to sell my car and either DD the MJ ( :chillin: ) for a little while or find something reasonable i can somehow stroke a check for. it will break my heart to sell my car and I don't owe a lot, in fact it will be paid off by next summer, but gotta reduce or eliminate monthly payments right now. if this thing has a decent carfax, i might have to call in some favors and grab it up. buuuut, it's probably gonna be "if it seems to good to be true..." :dunno:
  4. WAUDC68D21A054251 Non-jeep product but may need to move quick so if anybody can help run this on carfax or autocheck, I'd really appreciate it.
  5. absolutely friggin unbelievable! if you had paid $5k, even with the 2.hate, I, for one, would believe you still got a deal. but $1200? it looks like it just came out of time capsule!
  6. he made 'em. check out his build thread.....
  7. $400 and tires have crazy tread on them http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f125/5-b ... fs-986148/

    wow

uh, i don't think that driveshaft is gonna hold up to much of what that 350 can put out and trying to turn over 44s.
  10. crf136, how many sets of wheels do you have??

    Cadence

Wow, didn't know you were already there Brenda! Congrats, that's great you two!!!
  12. yup, been thinking about that too. and jtdesigns bogged down with school i guess. :dunno:
  13. No problem. I'll check with VA DMV and see what's involved here in the event you may be willing to sell.
  14. LOL, not necessarily. If the title sequence has been signed over from PPO to PO to you and then to me ( :brows: ), it all comes down to what it takes for me to put it on the road in VA, right?
  15. Hmmmm.......so, any kind of damage done during the theft? For that price and the low miles, it doesn't really matter if it has some damage, but just curious before I buy it. :brows: Seriously, let me know what damage and/or issues it has. I assume you have the title.
  16. Not only that but kinda acts like a heat shield while still being open enough to provide the increased air flow you want out of it. :dunno:
  17. Wade, looks great. Did you have to mod the center console much to fit?
  18. Killer build-up! Here's a D300 in OK, I doubt shipping would be cheap, but I don't know how hard these are to come by. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f126/d300-sale-982396/
  19. The simple answer is no. If you put 4.0 springs in it, especially if it has a 2.5, you'll get some lift. W/the 2.hate, I'm not sure because I don't know the weight of that engine compared to a 4.0. Obviously the 4.0 is heavier, just how much? Technically, IIRC, the springs are fairly close in height but it's the spring rate that makes the difference, i.e. the 4.0 springs are designed to carry that engine's weight, so if in a truck that came with a 2.5, they'll compress a lot less since the 2.5 weighs less.
  20. Man, that's a steal! Yup, you've got AALs only in the back, and 3" coils of some kind up front if you don't have any pucks. With the stance/height it has and the clearance over the 31s, definitely the standard 3" lift. 31's are roughly 9-10% taller than the stock 225/75s it came on back in the day, so even if it's been lifted all of its life you're in the low 200k range on mileage, probably somewhere in the middle (190s) assuming it's been lifte maybe half its life. Regardless, if it runs good and with the few minor issues you noted, you absolutely stole that MJ. Congrats!
  21. fyi, if this guy bought them during "the big sale", i think the remote rez units were $60 ea., so he's got $240-$250 in them, i.e. room to negotiate since he's asking $400. expanded and compressed dimensions should work for 3-4" of MJ lift i believe. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f127/ede ... ew-981335/
  22. lots of threads on here with guys that have done the 97+ swap, you might have to spend some time with it. buuut, this thread might be enough. fyi, i'm over the moutain from you in Waynesboro. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=11270
